Thoughts on this one?

I’m tired of seeing content where ________ = bad gut health.

It creates unrealistic, unnecessary panic and guilt for mothers but also drastically increases the risk of your child developing disordered eating.

It’s wild how often we are the ones to identify B12 deficiency symptoms and advocate for B12 testing.

Start by getting your own postnatal bloods done and if there are signs of low levels follow the trail.

I’m so appreciative of the mothers that I work with because they trust the process and end up getting incredible results ❤️

I’m so happy this mum reached out. She followed her gut instinct that there was more to it.

She has engaged with a multi modality team (peads, immunologists, dieticians and us) getting to see her baby’s FPIAP with a full scope.

Very proud of this mama and I can’t wait to see the huge shifts that are going to happen in the next few months 🫶🏽❤️

Do you ever scroll past naturopath content feeling like you’d be judged for your choices? Or that the advice feels completely out of reach for your family life?

I get it. And honestly, after being a mum for 12 years I’ve learnt that we need to be gentle on ourselves. Hyper-focusing on healthy or perfect can be more damaging than we realise.

There’s something I keep seeing in this space. And that’s the push toward extremely restrictive approaches to starting solids. Avoiding fruit. Avoiding vegetables. Avoiding all grains. And when I hear mums telling me they feel guilty for giving their baby a mashed banana, my heart breaks a little.

There’s no place for mum-guilt.

Sure, there are things we can do to support our baby’s health. But it’s all about balance.

Biology is individual. It is ever-evolving.

And our children are constantly teaching us something new about what they need. Rigid ideals have their place in research. But in real life, when you’re juggling sleep deprivation, a reactive baby with a thousand decisions to make before 9am?

Strict thinking can quietly steal the joy out of motherhood. I want you to enjoy motherhood without the pressure.

So I’ve shared 7 beliefs I hold that might surprise you coming from a baby naturopath. Some will resonate. Some might not. Either way, I’d rather you know where I actually stand before you decide whether to stick around.

Swipe through and tell me in the comments which one resonated most.
