Nueroendocrine : my first post graduate class !! In collaboration with the amazing Noa Rotem . Such a dream come true .
We started with a full day of Visceral work and tomorrow we will be joined by Michele who is a naturopath and will be sharing her knowledge of how the stress cascade can become autoimmune issues .
I feel passionate to educate people on the amazing effects of Craniosacral for Auto immune issues because I have seen so many amazing results in clinic and my students case studies .
Today was the first day taking this dream into the world .

To all of my friends here , I am choosing to boycott AI ( as much as possible) . For the earth and because it goes completely against my better judgment.
I have not been listening to my instincts and have been using AI to help me edit my posts . Mostly because I am short on time , just like everyone else . For the last few weeks I have hit out out a post here for this reason . I would prefer to be doing what I do best, sharing my work with people face to face .
So you may see a lot less of me , I will continue to post stories when I teach or share a post when I feel genuinely inspired.
And right now I feel genuinely inspired about staying close to nature and our relationship to life force intelligence and the breath of life .
AI cannot do what we do as therapists , AI cannot hold a persons nervous system and coherently communicate safely.
Thank you beautiful humans for your caring human hearts and hands .

There is something deeply moving about watching science slowly discover what many hands, hearts, and bodies have been quietly observing for years.
A recent study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences suggests that cerebrospinal fluid may travel along peripheral nerves and reach tissues and organs throughout the body, revealing previously unrecognized pathways of communication between the brain and the wider organism.
For some, this may feel like a surprising discovery.
For those who have spent time listening deeply through Craniosacral work, it may feel more like a familiar conversation entering a new language.
Many practitioners and clients know the experience of perceiving rhythmic fluid dynamics that seem to express themselves throughout the whole body—not as separate parts, but as a unified field of relationship. The tissues move. The fluids move. The nervous system responds. Everything participates.
Of course, scientific findings and clinical experience are not the same thing. This research does not prove the mechanisms we perceive in session. Yet it invites curiosity. It reminds us that the body’s communication networks may be far more intricate, fluid, and interconnected than previously imagined.
Perhaps one of the most beautiful aspects of this moment is not that science is confirming what we know.
It is that science continues to reveal how much there is still to discover.
The body remains a mystery—intelligent, dynamic, and profoundly connected.
And sometimes, what is first felt through presence and careful attention becomes a question that science eventually learns how to ask.

“The strapedius, the smallest muscle in the body ( and also one of the most important)
Is innervated by CNVII (Facial) this muscle protects the inner ear from high noise levels, primarily the volume of your own voice. By reducing the volume of sounds above and below the frequency of the human female voice, the strapedius muscle allows a baby to more clearly hear her mother’s voice. If you are easily disturbed by background noises, your strapedius muscle might not be doing its job of reducing the volume of low frequency sounds, making it hard for you to hear what someone else is saying in a noisy room . “
Branches of CN V and CNVII meet between the Palatines and pterygoid processes of Sphenoid , work in this area can help with the affects of over stimulation to low frequency sounds.
I know I need this , who else ?

Attain complete emptiness
Hold fast to stillness
The ten thousand things stir about
I only watch for their return
Things grow and grow
But each returns to its root
Returning to its roots is stillness
This means returning to what is .
Doa De Jong

As we listen to the human system in silence, sometimes a mysterious gateway seems to open. We enter a state that is hard to describe in words. There is a deep sense of presence, yet I am not separate from that presence. “

The mesenteric root anchors the small intestines
Deep in the posterior abdominal wall is a suspended fold of fascia
rich with nerves, vessels, lymphatics,
and continuous connection into the lumbar spine.
It holds holds the small intestines and
organises tension, orientation,
and the relationship between the front body and the back body.
The mesentery responds constantly
to breath, pressure, digestion, and emotion , it is our enteric nervous system.
When the system becomes protective,
the abdominal wall often grips.
The diaphragm loses excursion.
The tissues around the mesenteric root become less mobile —
less able to glide and adapt.
The lumbar spine begins to carry
what the deeper core can no longer distribute.
The back body becomes rigid and painful
Breathing can become shallow.
There can be a sense of internal pulling, and the mesenteric root pulls the lumbar anteriorly
compression is felt through the lower back, an ache that feels difficult to localise.

The mesenteric root is deeply responsive to safety.

Body work to restore mobility for the gut is called “Visceral Manipulation “

When the body feels supported,
the gut softens and the abdominal contents regain motility and mobility .
The mesentery restores its subtle glide against the posterior wall.
The spine no longer has to brace so heavily.
This has a huge impact on clients with lower back pain that have tried everything else.
Sometimes back pain is not simply a problem of the back itself but a reflection of the whole.
when the deep front body feels cared for, the nervous system is cared for and everything can begin to heal .

The fulcrum is often described as the point on which a lever turns… but in craniosacral, it can be something far more profound.

A fulcrum may be the gentle support of an elbow, the forearm, or simply our therapeutic presence. It exists in the quiet acknowledgment of a patient’s emotional landscape, in the subtle strains held within the fluids, and in the fragility of the central nervous system.

Matching tension is not always physical.
And the fulcrum is not always a place or a point.

Perhaps it is a meeting place — where stillness, presence, and intention come together.

Sutherland spoke of “the balanced stillness of the spiritual universe” as the foundation for the motion of the material universe. He saw this as underlying the nature of everything in existence, including the essential nature of the human being .
