As we sail collectively towards Friday’s Virgo new moon, this is an excellent time, especially today, for cleaning and a general tidy up around the home.
If you live like I do on the eastern seabord, the heat is already here for springtime and there’s no better time for a spring clean! This largely because your hard work will pay off…
During the week will be an excellent time to consider which practical plans you can put in place, especially around making your daily life more pleasant…
Ask yourself if there are any ways you could include more of what you love into your daily schedule?
And, while it is a good week to get on top of chores and work, it is also an excellent week to focus on your own health and happiness in practical terms: schedule healthy breaks!
The days after the new moon - next weekend - will be great for implementing some of your plans and the upcoming days beforehand are excellent for putting some of your plans to the test through talks and discussions.
It’s likely you’ll enjoy a key reunion or at least a catch-up by phone with someone you love or admire this week and, if you haven’t planned a get-together yet, why not schedule it in!
I hope you have a great week. x

The progressive aspect between Saturn and Jupiter on Tuesday brings promise to the week. But it will require hard work.
Luckily, the current Aries moon encourages a proactive, dynamic outlook to the start of the week.
The myth of Sisyphus comes to mind this week as pushing a rock up a hill may apply especially if you’re formulating long-term goals.
Luckily (again!) it’s likely that hard work will pay off. So keep going with the aim to avoid repeating past mistakes or patterns you already know are counter-productive.
Midweek, good news and/or the chance for progress and the chance to break bad habits will be welcome.
And, while the sun and Mercury are in Virgo, it’s always a good time to: ‘make hay while the sun shines’!
Have a good (productive) week. x🌞

The light has been stunning over the past few evenings…the anti-crepuscular rays are just visible, shining on the horizon in the powder blue sky as the creek in the foreground finds its way to the ocean in this photo. Some say that dusk is particularly healing^.
Health, healing and work become the focus now as the sun enters Virgo, shortly followed by Mercury.
There’s also an aspirational quality to the week: we may all be looking at how we’d prefer life to be as opposed to how it is.
And there’s nothing wrong with dreaming a little to make well-laid plans…
The partial lunar eclipse in Pisces on Friday* will make it clear to you whether you have overestimated or underestimated a situation.
If you have planned well in the past, you are likely to attain positive outcomes for all your hard work..
But if a course correction is necessary, this is something that can be accomplished with a little effort over the next four weeks.
This upcoming lunar eclipse could feel intense, especially if you are sensitive to full moons. This lunar eclipse closes one door and opens another, especially for Virgos with birthdays on Friday (happy birthday!)
(It’s likely there will be a plot twist towards the end of the week).
I hope you have an excellent week.

The current eclipse season right now* will show you areas of your life you could improve, so keep an eye out!
Situations may occur where you realise you would be better doing something different for a change. And, if things are not working out for you, you’ll gain the choice to alter how you go about things, or even to choose a fresh path.
For some, though, eclipse seasons will ask you to be brave: to ask yourself where you can extend yourself? Where can you admit you are not doing as well as perhaps you could? On the other hand, you may need to ask yourself: are you being too harsh on yourself?
For everyone this will be different. This eclipse season will demonstrate one or the other about what must change in you: either you could be braver - or if you tend to over-commit to everyone and to everything, you must make a valid choice.
It’s quite possible next week that you receive good news, despite having to extend yourself in the process. But at the very least, even if news is not what you had hoped for, you will gain the information you need to make valid decisions about your bigger picture hopes and plans.
I hope you have a great week. x

As we begin the August eclipse season, you may already be aware that some aspects of your life are coming to an end…And that new shoots of growth are forming.
If not, this week and next will bring increased awareness that certain areas of your life are changing, as one door closes and, inevitably, another opens.
The total eclipse of the sun will be on Thursday in the sign of Leo. It’s a good time to ask yourself where you derive most of your sense of belonging, self-esteem and direction.
You may even decide it’s time to take action in areas that have not moved in a way you would prefer them to.
If you find yourself low in self-confidence or motivation, the signal there is to find ways to improve both these aspects of yourself as both self-esteem and motivation enable you to take positive action.
And, while eclipses have a reputation for bringing changes we would rather not have to manage, this week’s planetary aspects indicate it’s a good time to time to invest in yourself, and also to discuss important topics and make necessary changes both financially and in your personal life.
A solar eclipse is always a new moon and so in the days following the eclipse, these are excellent days to take action while during this upcoming few days, to formulate your plans.
I do you hope you have a wonderful week. x
Pro tip: Thursday’s new moon will be a total solar eclipse, which has the diamond ring effect when the moon moves on from completely covering the sun (from our perspective). It will not be visible in Australia, but it will be visible in areas of northern Europe, Spain, northern Russia, the Arctic, and a partial eclipse will be visible in parts of the UK. (If you’re reading this from that part of the world, remember your eclipse glasses!)

A question in changing times is: how to maintain strength in the face of prevailing winds?
The entry of Venus in Libra this week (on Friday) brings a focus to peace, harmony and balance - and also to creativity, the love of a little luxury, good food, comfort and to love itself.
It’s certainly a good time over the upcoming five weeks to focus on your artistic and creative abilities and to find ways to create a sense of comfort, peace and love in your life as your efforts are likely to succeed.
The constructive aspect between the sun and Saturn is also building this week and will help you to create a strong foundation for your projects.
It is important at the same time to be aware of boundaries and restrictions, especially financially, so that you are able to plan ahead for your own wealth and stability in a realistic way.
It’s an excellent time to create a sense of stability in your life as this will provide some anchorage during the upcoming eclipse season (solar eclipse on August 13th and lunar eclipse on August 28th).
I hope you have a wonderful week. x

An original approach to life will certainly be useful this week…
Monday’s aspects are likely to take you outside your comfort zone during the first few days of the week and you may even excel - and surprise yourself with what you are capable of.
Thursday’s sun-Jupiter conjunction brings wonderful opportunities to truly broaden your horizons and to embrace adventure…Although this does depend to a degree on how a long-term transformation has been proceeding for you in your life…
You will know already where you are called to make changes in your life, and this is a good week to take action, as long as you base your decisions on past experience and not on assumptions about the future.
This is an excellent time to reach out to people and to schedule and plan exciting ventures moving forward.
Thursday’s full moon will spotlight where your options are most viable and realistic, and whether some may need to be re-appraised in line with the state of play outside your control.
The full moon being in Aquarius along with its accompanying aspects, also indicates a week of surprises or even revelations, so keep an open mind and an eye on your goals.
I hope you have a wonderful week. x

There are some lovely go-ahead planetary aspects this week and, after a particularly intense phase in which Mercury retrograde has brought a few communication snafus (eg Telstra), you’ll be pleased to hear Mercury ends its retrograde phase on Friday.
That said, communications will not be completely out of the woods until around August 8, so it’s just as well to keep an eye on them and to doublecheck travel plans. (Those of us with a strong Mercury in our charts (eg Gemini rising) will always experience Mercury retrogrades more profoundly than others.)
The good news is: as the sun enters Leo on Thursday, preceded by a Scorpio moon and powerful planetary aspects involving Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto, this is a good time to consider where you find most purpose in your life, and how to gain more direction in line with this sense of purpose...
For some of us though, these powerful aspects could unleash a sense that certain circumstances are outside our control.
And so it’s in your interest to see this week a bit like steering a ship: focusing on how to navigate these changeable times with particular goals in mind.
The Aquarian full moon at the end of the month will bring opportunities to look at life from a fresh perspective, and so be sure to avoid dismissing interesting ideas that emerge this week already (more on that next week)….
I hope you have a great week. x
Pro tip: the Perseid meteors are visible until mid August, but principally only from North Australia and in the northern hemisphere…. Depending on clear skies!

We need certain factors for a rainbow to arise: rain/moisture in the air and the sun…
Astrological aspects this week also bring key factors together making this a turnaround week astrologically due not least to the Uranus – Neptune aspect on Wednesday.
The ‘turnaround’ applies mostly on a global level…we are already seeing some developments which we might describe as ‘stranger than fiction’, such as the UAP files, and a slightly surreal feel to the week could persist.
If you haven’t already read my 2026 preview* on my blog page, and you understand astrological terminology, you may enjoy catching up on how far we’ve gone already down one particular path this year. In the article I describe this as a watershed year and July as a watershed month where we will go further down certain scientific routes such as increasing use of digital technology and the risk of escalating war scenarios.
Tuesday’s new moon in Cancer is an excellent time to take a nurturing approach to yourself and others. It’s a time to consider whether advancements we are taking collectively are in our own best interest and each others’.
If you feel they are, this is a time to augment paths you’ve already set in motion for yourself. If you feel that some areas of your life could benefit from more of a sense of self-nurturance and nurturance of others, this week is a good time to take action to create a more supportive and thriving environment for yourself and others, especially towards the end of the week.
Because of the strong prevalence of Uranus in this week’s astrology, expect to see unexpected or sudden changes (this mostly on a community/global level), but for some of us, there will also be surprises in our own lives. And so the more you can formulate a contingency plan, the better for you, in case you’ll need to reconsider how you wish to proceed.
On a personal level, if you have plans scheduled that you really want to turbo charge, the days after the new moon will be ideal to take action.
I hope you have a good week. x

The powerful water signature in the current astrological climate brings our intuitive selves to the forefront. This is a great time to learn how to trust your intuition and, if you already know how to, to develop this ability so it becomes something you can rely on 100%.
It’s also an excellent time for the arts, music, romance and spiritual self-development.
The water signature can also bring our emotions to the forefront. Notice where you may be approaching life from a purely emotional stance. If this is helping you all well and good, but if your emotions are getting the better of you, this is an excellent week to get back to objective reality and to make plans based on practicalities, facts and figures. Avoid relying on expectations based solely on emotional impressions.
It’s a good week to get your feet on the ground, even if sometimes the ground appears fairly rocky. The more realistic you are the better for you.
Towards Friday and Saturday there are lovely opportunities to get together with both helpful and influential people, and to be with people you love.
It’s an excellent week to look at ways to boost your health and well-being, bringing a sense of vitality into your everyday life, as the current stars will help you.
I hope you have a wonderful week. x
