This!! Your scan does not define you, the diagnosis you got doesn’t define you. Your pain doesn’t define you. I treat the person standing in front of me. Pain is very complex. It’s not always the injury or the source of what’s going on.

Pain can heighten when we are under stress, poor nutrition, poor sleep and other external factors.

When you come in for a treatment with me, I’m not just doing the treatment, I am discussing your lifestyle and understanding your body from a holistic point of view. What can we optimise to get you moving more freely. All these external factors play a role and need to be addressed.

But don’t fear movement when injured, don’t get hung up on scientific or scary names for your diagnosis. There can be many factors as to why you’re experiencing pain.

I’m here to help you understand and educate you on your body so you can get back to enjoying the things in life that are meaningful to you. 😊

There are many ways to still continue training around an injury or pain. Rest is usually not always the best information these days.

Yes in acute stages in can be handy to rest but our bodies are very resilient and adaptable. Keeping your body moving and doing what you can tolerate comfortably is one.

Continue training other lifts that don’t aggravate your current injury. You can also modify the movement that caused the injury. So if you feel pain when doing a Dumbell bench press for example, you can bring your arms more neutral and that may help alleviate shoulder pain. There is always ways to modify an exercise so you can continue working on your goals.

And finally, don’t freak out and remain calm. The best thing we can do is work within our limits and stay calm. There is always adjustments that can be made.

For those who are new here — I thought I’d share a little about my background 👋🏼

I’ve been working in the health and fitness industry for 16 years now, and it’s an area I’m incredibly passionate about.

I have studied Sports & Exercise Science at uni and have also completed separate studies in Sports Nutrition, cert 4 and diploma of remedial massage as well as study in rehab.

Over the years I’ve worked in both personal training and remedial massage, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of the body — from performance and programming to recovery and injury management.

I train personal training clients from my home gym and also work as a Remedial Massage Therapist, helping people move better, recover properly and stay consistent with their training and daily life.

My approach is realistic, supportive and focused on long-term results — not quick fixes.

If you’re looking for guidance with training, recovery or simply want to feel stronger and more confident in your body, I’d love to support you.

Here’s to continuing to grow and help others do the same 🙂
