🎓 Introducing Cairns Central Academy
Today marks the beginning of something we’re incredibly proud to build together.
Cairns Central Academy has been created as a shared learning and development initiative between Cairns Central Medical and TerryWhite Chemmart Cairns Central — bringing our doctors, pharmacists, nurses, interns and wider healthcare team together to learn, share knowledge and grow as one.
Healthcare is constantly evolving, and we believe the best patient care comes from teams that continue to learn, challenge themselves, collaborate and share knowledge across disciplines.
Our Academy will focus on ongoing clinical education, practical case discussions, professional development and stronger collaboration between general practice and community pharmacy — helping our team turn learning into real improvements in patient care.
Today’s session focused on:
Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Across the CRM Spectrum
The session was presented by Assoc Prof Ashim Sinha and organised by Michelle Vickers, GP Sales Representative, Boehringer Ingelheim Pty Ltd.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together, strengthen our knowledge and discuss how we can continue improving the way we support patients living with Type 2 diabetes and related cardiovascular, renal and metabolic risks.
But this education won’t stay inside the training room.
We’re already preparing to bring today’s learning to life through our next major Cairns Central Medical campaign — taking education, prevention and early intervention directly into our community.
