There are moments in life when we stand at a threshold — between what was and what is yet to come.

Grief, loss, change, illness, ageing, endings and new beginnings can leave us feeling uncertain about who we are and where we are going.

You don't have to navigate these moments alone.

Awaken | Wisdom at the Threshold offers gentle one-to-one support for people moving through grief, loss and life's significant transitions — creating space to pause, listen deeply, make meaning and find a way forward.

Meditation is more than a practice
It is a sacred remembering.
In the stillness, beyond the noise of thought and the pull of the outer world, there is a space within you that is eternal, wise, and whole. This is your divine essence — the part of you that is always connected to Source, to Spirit, to the infinite intelligence of the universe.
Meditation is the doorway back to that space.
Each breath, each moment of presence, gently dissolves the layers of doubt, fear, and separation — revealing the light of truth that has always been within you. It’s not about silencing your mind perfectly, but about softening into awareness and opening to the deeper current that runs beneath the surface.
In this space, you begin to feel your connection — not just to yourself, but to all things.
To the rhythm of the Earth, the whisper of your soul, and the loving presence of Spirit that is always guiding you. Here, answers arise not from logic, but from inner knowing. Peace is no longer a concept, but an embodied experience. Love is not something you chase — it is what you are.
Meditation invites you to remember who you truly are: a radiant expression of the Divine.

Grief is not a problem to be solved, but a human experience to be honoured.

Loss can change how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. It can challenge our sense of identity, belonging, purpose, and hope. Yet within grief there can also be opportunities for connection, meaning, compassion, and growth.

Nature reminds us that all life exists within cycles of change. Through the seasons we witness endings, beginnings, decay, renewal, and transformation. This program invites participants to explore their own journey through grief alongside these natural rhythms.

Together we create a compassionate space where grief is welcomed, stories are honoured, and healing is supported through mindfulness, reflection, community, and connection with the natural world.

The Wisdom of Scent

There are moments in life when words are not what we need.

Sometimes we need to pause.
To breathe.
To come back into the present moment.

As I continue to evolve my work through Awaken Meditation Retreats, I am beginning to weave the profound world of essential oils into my practice.

For me, essential oils are not simply about fragrance. They offer an invitation to slow down and become present — to connect with the subtle language of the body, the senses and the natural world.

There is something deeply ritualistic about scent.

A drop of oil.
A breath.
A moment of stillness.

And within that pause, we create space to listen — to what the body is holding, to what the heart may be asking, and to the wisdom that can emerge when we stop rushing to find the answers.

I see this as another way of creating sacred space for awakening — particularly during times of change, grief, uncertainty and life's great thresholds.

The plants have their own wisdom.

Our invitation is simply to become quiet enough to receive it.

Seeking a Room to Rent within a Like-Minded Wellbeing Practice

Hello Hobart Community

I am seeking to become part of an established wellbeing practice where my one-to-one work naturally complements the existing practitioners. If your practice has a consulting room available—or you know of a welcoming, like-minded space—I would love to connect.

I offer Compassionate Companioning for Life's Thresholds, honouring each person's unique journey and gently guiding them as they navigate the deeper mysteries of being human—the questions of life, death, meaning, purpose and transformation.

My work supports people experiencing grief and loss, end-of-life transitions, spiritual exploration, major life changes, personal growth, and the many moments when life invites us to pause, reflect and listen more deeply.

My approach is gentle, contemplative and trauma-informed, drawing on meditation, mindfulness and reflective practice. I offer a calm, confidential presence where people feel deeply heard, supported and able to reconnect with their own inner wisdom.

I am looking for more than simply a room to rent—I would love to become part of a compassionate community of practitioners who value presence, authenticity and holistic wellbeing.

If this feels aligned with your practice, I would love to hear from you.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on the in-between spaces in life.

The places where something old has fallen away, yet what is next has not fully arrived.

I feel like I’ve been sitting in one of these threshold spaces myself for some time now. It’s a strange place to stand. A place where there can be uncertainty and discomfort, where part of me wants clarity and direction, wanting to know exactly where I’m heading and how it will all unfold.

Yet I’m slowly learning that not everything sacred emerges through constant movement.

Ancient ritual understood that transformation often happens in these spaces between worlds — where something is ending and something new is quietly waiting to emerge. These places ask for surrender. They ask us to loosen our grip on certainty and trust what is unfolding beneath the surface, even when we cannot yet see it clearly.

I think many of us move from one season of life into another without fully honouring what is ending. We leave behind relationships, careers, identities and versions of ourselves, often moving quickly toward the next chapter without pausing long enough to acknowledge what has been or ask what is seeking to emerge.

Right now I’m learning there can be something sacred in the pause.

In honouring endings.

In allowing space.

In trusting that new beginnings do not need to be forced — they can quietly take root in their own time.

Perhaps some seasons are not asking us to have all the answers.

Perhaps they are simply asking us to trust the threshold.

There is a remembering that lives beneath the noise.

Beneath the roles you’ve carried.
Beneath the expectations.
Beneath the survival patterns that once kept you safe.

A sacred remembering.

It whispers that you are not here to strive endlessly…
You are here to belong.
To feel.
To live in rhythm with something deeper than urgency.

At Awaken Meditation Retreats, we don’t teach you who to become.
We create space for you to remember who you’ve always been.

Through stillness, through breath, through time held gently in nature, the layers soften. The nervous system unwinds. The heart begins to speak again.

And slowly, quietly — you return.

Not to a new version of yourself.
But to the truest one.

If something in you feels that stirring… trust it.
The remembering has already begun.
