The more we know about the places we walk, the more we care for them.

Today, Glacier Rock reminded us that every trail has a story.

The birdsong, the towering trees, the flowing creek and the light filtering through the rainforest invited us to slow down, look up and truly notice.

Walking becomes more than exercise. It becomes a way of building belonging, to each other and to the places we call home.

Every walk deepens our connection. And when we feel connected, we’re far more likely to care for, protect and advocate for the places that shape our community.

What a beautiful morning exploring Yorkeys K**b as part of the Barron Connected Pathways program.

We enjoyed a relaxed walk, great conversation, stunning coastal views and finished the morning with breakfast together HiddenYorkeys.

💚 These walks are about so much more than movement.

💚 They’re about bringing people together, building connections and encouraging people to discover the incredible places we have right here in our own backyard.

This is exactly what Barron Connected Pathways are about.

Yesterday’s Biri Bana Connect Walk at Yule Point was a beautiful reminder that some of the most meaningful movement happens when we slow down, listen, learn, and connect — to place, people and story.

Walking through the mangroves along the stunning Yirrganydji coastline, learning from Marc Harbrow Mentoring sharing stories, culture, and conversation, these are the moments that strengthen communities.

From learning about traditional seafood gathering and holding spears, to sharing kapmari, kangaroo tail, vegetables and fresh mud crab caught on the morning walk, the day was rich in culture, connection and community.

Finished with swims and lunch at Ellis Beach, a gentle reminder of the importance of slowing down and being present.
