I absolutely love going on “walk and talk” catch ups with friends in nature. It is so cathartic to know that the trees will transmute your venting into a more positive energy. But it is also wonderful to be in nature by yourself and “just be”. 🦋

Honestly, I stopped watching the news and shows like 60 minutes years ago… it truly makes a difference. If you surround yourself with negative news your anxiety will grow, if you surround yourself with the beauty of the world, your peace will grow. 💜🙏🏻💙🦋💐🌺

On Friday I attended an incredible NineSenses Somatic Therapies workshop, that was facilitated by the wonderful Psychologist, Simone. It was so refreshing to see science finally catching up with what so many of us in the holistic and spiritual community have known for years.

Research continues to show the powerful benefits of somatic practices such as, grounding, meditation, yoga, Qi Gong, breath-work and spending time in nature.

These aren’t just “alternative” practices- they are evidence based tools that can support nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, resilience and healing.

One thing I always find interesting is that my greatest education has not come from textbooks - it’s come from LIFE. Through my own experiences, challenges, healing journey, and working alongside others, I have witnessed first hand the profound impact these practices can have. LIFE will provide a far greater education than any school or university.

We were fortunate to hear from some amazing guest speakers, including Psychologist and singer - Woodburn, who is breaking stereotypes and showing that psychology, creativity, authenticity, and human connection can all exist together.

It was inspiring to see professionals embracing a more holistic approach to healing and wellbeing.

The future of healing is not about choosing between science and spirituality- it is about recognising the value that both bring to the conversation. ✨🍃🌊🌺
