Community access looks different for everyone.

It might be breakfast with friends, a visit to the beach, celebrating a birthday, learning a new skill or heading out on a bigger adventure.

After six incredible years, we're saying goodbye to Grace as she begins a new chapter in her life.

Grace has been with us in Cairns almost since the very beginning. She has always been much more than a familiar face. Along the way, she's shared countless memories, smiles and laughs, been a shoulder to cry on, and become a true friend to so many. Her warmth, her smile, her sense of humour, and the genuine care she has shown to everyone has made our workplace a better place to be.

Thank you, Grace, for everything you've given over the past six years. Your kindness has left a lasting mark on all of us, and you'll be missed more than you know.

We wish you and Joel nothing but happiness and success as you begin this exciting new chapter together.

Grace's last day with us will be Friday, 24 July. We'd love everyone to help give her the send-off she deserves, so if you're able to, please join us at the office at 10:00 am on Friday to wish her all the best. If you can't make it then, we'd love for you to drop in at some stage during the week to say goodbye before she heads off. 😊

🏆 We're incredibly proud to present our Legend Award to James.

There are moments when you get to look back and realise just how far someone has come. Watching James grow into the confident, hardworking young man he is today has been one of those moments, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate everything he's achieved.

Over the past year, James has continued to work hard at school, secured a second job while doing well in his current one, attained his learner's licence and is already 60 hours into learning to drive. He's also working towards his goal of completing an apprenticeship in cookery after finishing school.

James was nominated by his support worker, Brandon, who said:

"Seeing his progress from when I first started supporting him to now, he's taken the tools we've given to him, applied himself and is excelling at what he sets his mind to, from a shy kid who was hesitant to engage with people to taking the initiative of getting out there with a resume and scoring a second job is amazing."

Congratulations, mate. This award is incredibly well deserved. 💛
