Jazmyn and Cate headed along to the Early Years Conference 2026 last week, Thursday night social and Friday's sessions. Lucky us to have it on our doorstep here in Cairns🌴

Staying across current research and practice is a big part of how we keep our work at Nurturing Life Connections relevant for the children and families we support. We're not interested in standing still ongoing PD is what keeps our practice grounded in what early childhood experts are saying matters most.

Thursday's social event was a lovely chance to connect with educators and community workers from across the country.

Friday's standout was the keynote from Assoc. Prof. Campbell Paul (Royal Children's Hospital / World Association for Infant Mental Health). His perspective on the inner world of babies and the parent–infant relationship was beautifully delivered, and a real reminder of why early connection is so foundational.

We also got so much out of Kelly Oldfield's workshop "From Behaviour to Meaning" with Child Development & Behaviour Specialists a brilliant session on what kids are really telling us through their behaviour. Already eyeing off more PD with their team.

🌿 Therapy Capacity Available – Cairns & Douglas Shire 🌿

As we commence the new year, we’re pleased to share that Mrs Jaz will be recommencing therapy at the end of January, meaning Nurturing Life Connections has availability for new clients with Mrs Jaz and Mrs Cate.

Why we’re a fully mobile service
We deliver therapy in homes, schools, early learning centres, and community spaces so children can learn and practise skills in environments where they feel safe and confident making therapy more meaningful and effective.

As a registered NDIS Provider, we offer play-based, child-led, and nature-inspired therapy supporting emotional regulation, sensory needs, social skills, and early development.
