Spotlighting TCHHS staff members who epitomise our values and make us proud to work alongside them.

1β£ What does a typical day or week look like in your role?
"The best part about recruitment is that no two days are ever the same, but I definitely like to hit the ground running! There's always something happening, which keeps things interesting. One of my favourite parts of the day is jumping on Teams calls, having a chat with hiring managers and, of course, sharing plenty of laughs and banter with my amazing team."
2β£ What inspired you to pursue this career path?
"I've always been a people person and genuinely love helping others, so a career in Human Resources and Recruitment felt like a natural fit. What I enjoy most is building relationships and connecting with people. Over the years I've built some incredible relationships with staff across Torres and Cape, and those connections are a big part of why I can genuinely say that I love my job. I also love bringing a bit of positivity and humour into my work. We all know recruitment can be a tough gig especially for hiring managers so if I can make the process a little easier or make them smile along the way, that's a win in my books."
3β£ What do you love most about working in our region?
"How can you compare it to anywhere else? We are so fortunate to work across one of the most unique and diverse regions in Australia. Every community has its own story, culture and way of life, and it's a privilege to support a workforce that provides healthcare across such an incredible part of the country. There is always something new to learn, somewhere new to explore and amazing people to meet along the way. I've recently had the opportunity to travel to several different communities across our region, and one thing that really stood out to me was the genuine passion people have for the work they do. Time and time again, staff told me that TCHHS feels like family, and I found that incredibly special."
