A few weeks ago, we shared the moment Warren Love and Mick Charlton from presented our new table caddies to Director Warren Entsch. Well, here they are in action, and we are absolutely loving the branding! 🙌

A huge thank you again to Warren and Mick for their craftsmanship, now proudly featuring on every table.

Also, a big thank you to Janelle from Pro-Advisor Online for popping in to teach Michael and Rachel some new skills; always great to see our members learning and growing!

🌿 A massive thank you to Tropical Lawns & Nenja Anderlini!🌿

We are absolutely over the moon at The Junction Clubhouse Cairns A huge, heartfelt thank you to Nenja Anderlini from Tropical Lawns for the incredibly generous donation of beautiful turf to our clubhouse. This gift has truly transformed our space and we are so grateful!

Of course, none of this would have happened without our amazing members Brett and Angus, who got stuck in right alongside Jason Anton, and made the whole thing happen in the most impressive turnaround. The dedication and teamwork these guys brought to the project was something special to witness!

What really made this experience stand out was Nenja taking the time to walk us through every step of the process, nothing was too much trouble and wrapping it all up with thorough lawn care guidance so we can keep it looking beautiful for years to come. That's the kind of above-and-beyond service you don't forget.

The result? We now have a beautiful outdoor space that opens up so many exciting options for our members; did someone say lawn bowls, barefoot social afternoons, outdoor gatherings, twilight events, get-togethers and so much more. Watch this space!

This is community at its finest. Local businesses and good people coming together to create something truly special.

A visit a few years in the making!

Matt from Foreverwell Limited recently visited The Junction Clubhouse Cairns for the first time, after hearing about it for many years from his father-in-law, Con Carbone.

We love getting visitors, and it was wonderful for Matt to see first-hand how the Clubhouse operates daily with our members, from the connection and support on offer, to the genuine sense of community that makes The Junction Clubhouse Cairns so special.

Recently, our CEO, Dr Suzie Pont, attended the 50 years of Friendship and Cooperation between Australia and Japan celebration, held in the Great Hall at Parliament House, Canberra, with our Director, the Hon Warren Entsch. It was a privilege to meet The Hon John Howard OM AC and his wife Janette, long-time colleague and friends of Warren's.

What a morning!

Today The Junction Clubhouse Cairns co-hosted "What's Age Got To Do With It?" with , and what a success it was!

Our wonderful members pulled out all the stops with a delicious morning tea that set the perfect tone for a morning of connection and conversation. (Because great learning always goes better with good food!)

Dr Emily Steel from The Australian Human Rights Commission's Age Discrimination Team led us through a thought-provoking and research-backed workshop that challenged us to examine our own attitudes and assumptions about ageing. Through self-reflection exercises and small group discussions, we explored the social and cultural factors that shape how we see older people, and left with fresh eyes and real tools for building a more age-friendly community.

It's a reminder that age really is just a number, and that every person deserves to be seen for their capacity, their wisdom, and their worth at every stage of life.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today, and to our incredible members who made it all come together. 💛
