A weekend well spent learning, so I can continue providing the best care for my patients. 💙

This weekend I had the opportunity to complete a Skin Excision Surgical Refresher Course with the fantastic team at DermEx.

Medicine is always evolving, and I believe that ongoing education is one of the most important ways I can ensure my patients receive safe, evidence-based, high-quality care. It was a wonderful, hands-on weekend filled with practical learning, great discussions, and plenty of surgical skills practice.

With Queensland’s high rates of skin cancer, regular skin checks are so important. Early detection can make all the difference.

We’re so excited to officially welcome Dr Alex to the Cascades Medical & Aesthetics family! 💙 She will be doing aesthetics treatments on a Wednesday at Cascades 💉

Originally from London but proudly calling Cairns home for the past 8 years, Dr Alex brings a warm, thoughtful approach to aesthetic medicine and a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin.

She believes the best aesthetic outcomes come from combining medical knowledge, precision and an artistic eye—creating natural, personalised results that enhance your unique features, never change who you are.

When she’s not in clinic, you’ll find her enjoying yoga, hiking with her husband and their much-loved fur baby Louis, or searching for another great Australian coffee! ☕🐾

A few fun facts about me:

💦 I absolutely love waterskiing.
🏋️‍♀️ CrossFit is my happy place.
🏃‍♀️ I’m trying to become someone who loves running… the jury is still out! 😂
💗 Pink will always be my favourite colour.
🌴 I’m a proud Cairns local through and through (I even grew up in Gordonvale!).

Hello 👋
I’m Dr Alex, a Cairns GP and aesthetic doctor with a passion for all things skin related. I am so excited to be joining Dr Stephanie at Cascades Medical and Aesthetics.
I graduated from King’s College London in 2015 and after 11 years as a doctor, with a background in critical care medicine, I put safety, high quality care and most up to date evidence based medicine at the forefront of all treatments offered.
I believe in a gentle and considered approach towards natural looking results and personalised treatments plans to complimenteach and every unique face I am trusted with.

I am able to provide consultations and tailored treatment plans for a wide range of issues including but not limited to skin quality optimisation, ageing, lines and volume concerns, acne and rosacea, pigment and texture concerns, hyperhidrosis and bruxism, amongst many others.
