📣teamCSSM update with Prachi 🏏
“In training I have been doing a lot of work to improve my batting against spin bowling. In one of my recent matches I opened the batting and faced a lot of spin. I made 48 runs off 36 balls and got retired - this is my biggest highlight of the matches I played in this offseason.”

📣teamCSSM update from Run Melbourne with Rohan Martin Ritchie
“I ran 1:17:43 (3:41 avg pace) which is a new PB, and came 61st overall out of 11440 runners. I also managed to win my age group for the second year in a row. I deliberately got out quite hard to give myself a chance to run a fast time and then just held on as well as I could! Given it was a relatively hilly course and I had a very short build-up I’m very happy with the result and can’t wait to see where I can get later in the year with some more consistent training under my belt. 🏃🏻‍♂️
I’ll probably have a day off running and do some heat training for recovery as well as some light massage/stretching, and then get back into running with a relatively easy couple of days before getting back to normal training.”
Well done Rohan 🙌🏻 and to everyone who completed Run Melbourne 💪🏃🏻‍♂️

📣teamCSSM update with Becca
“We are just under a month out from travelling and starting pretour in London and have just wrapped up training camp 3 over the weekend. I am currently managing a minor injury with Lily’s help and hope to be back to full training soon and ready for our final training camp in a couple of weeks!”

📣teamCSSM update in the gym with Rohan Martin Ritchie

🏃‍♂️This is one of 3 resistance training sessions I do each week (Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday) and this one comes the day before my double threshold day on Wednesday, meaning the goal is to stimulate as much adaptation as possible while minimising the fatigue in my legs. For that reason, the intensity is relatively high with quite low volume. The primary focus of my resistance training is to improve strength and reduce my risk of injury without putting on much muscle as power to weight ratio is key for running. I have also needed to be a bit cautious with hamstring training as I had a minor injury around my left hamstring after UTA, which is why I’m only doing the lowering phase of the Nordics.

🏃‍♂️The UTA100 is a 100km gruelling ultra marathon through the spectacular Blue Mountains. Rohan says “it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done, largely because I went into the race with a couple of injuries that meant I was basically in discomfort from the gun. With that said, it was an incredibly valuable experience and I’m really proud of how I executed the run. I’m also really grateful for my support crew and the event team without whom the race would have been far less enjoyable.”
Congratulations Rohan coming FIRST in the 18-19 age category 🙌
And did we mention he’s qualified for the World Championships in France 🇫🇷
Spectacular effort we hope you gave your feet up!
