IT’S STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE.

What a difference a week makes.

The frames are in, the walls are going up and suddenly we can actually start to see our new InSync coming to life.

Three treatment rooms, reception and waiting area, office, staff kitchen and change room, and our new exercise and rehabilitation studio are all beginning to take shape.

There’s still plenty to do, but after so much planning, it’s incredibly exciting to finally be able to walk through the space and imagine InSync here.

A thoughtfully designed new home for movement, health and people.

Small but mighty, with everything we need to keep doing what we love, and some exciting new possibilities ahead.

We’ll keep taking you behind the scenes as the transformation continues.

Something exciting is taking shape at InSync…

The walls are changing, the plans are becoming real, and all those little pieces of the puzzle are finally starting to come together.

It’s incredibly exciting to watch our new home begin to take shape, with every detail being designed around what matters most to us: movement, health and people.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, but we couldn’t resist sharing a little glimpse of the progress.

Our new InSync home is coming.

A NEW SPACE. EVEN MORE POSSIBILITIES.

As our new InSync starts to take shape, one of the things we’re most excited about is what the new space will allow us to offer our entire community.

From physiotherapy and rehabilitation to Pilates-based exercise, strength, conditioning and movement, the new clinic is being designed to support people through every stage of their journey.

Whether that means getting back to walking comfortably, returning to work or sport, building strength and confidence, managing an ongoing condition, or returning to high-level performance, our focus remains the same: understanding the individual and helping them achieve what matters to them.

And for our dance community, an area that has been part of InSync for many years, our new rehabilitation and movement space will include a sprung floor. This will allow our team to further integrate dance-specific rehabilitation, including pre-pointe and comprehensive dance assessments, conditioning and progression back to turns, jumps and the demands of the studio and stage.

It’s one of many things we’re excited to bring to our new home.

Same experienced team. Same individual care. Same commitment to helping people move well and feel confident in their bodies.

Just a wonderful new space with even more possibilities.

We can’t wait to show you more.

EXCITING NEWS. InSync is on the move.

We’re very excited to share that InSync Physiotherapy & Pilates is moving to a beautiful new home.

After many wonderful years in our current space, the time has come for a fresh new chapter.

Our new clinic is just a couple of minutes up the road and the fit-out is now underway. We’re creating a fresh, purpose-designed space that will bring together everything we love about InSync, with beautiful treatment areas, a dedicated rehabilitation and movement space and, something we know many of you will be very happy about, no more stairs.

Most importantly, we’re not going far.
It will be the same InSync team, the same care and the same community, just in a wonderful new home.

We’re planning to make the move in October and there is plenty happening behind the scenes between now and then.

We can’t wait to share the progress, some sneak peeks and plenty more as our new InSync starts to take shape.

We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter and we’re looking forward to taking you all along with us.

Stay tuned. There’s lots more to come.

International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the incredible women who make up the heart of InSync.

To my amazing team. Your passion, skill, dedication and care inspire me every day. It is such a privilege to work alongside you, to watch you grow in your roles, and to see the impact you have on the people who walk through our doors. To the mothers among you who juggle so much with grace, commitment and care. I admire you deeply.

I also want to acknowledge the many talented women who have been part of InSync over the past 25 years. Your contribution helped shape the practice and the community we are so proud of today.

And finally, to the incredible women who come through our doors as clients, thank you. Your stories, humour, resilience and humanity enrich our days more than you probably realise. You are the reason we do what we do.

Today we celebrate you all.
Remarkable women. Supportive women. Inspiring women.

Happy International Women’s Day.

What a privilege to present today for Cecchetti Victoria at their Teacher’s refresher day at fabulous VCASS studios.

Alongside my fabulous partner in crime, Anne Butler, I had the joy of sharing The Eyes Have It! A conversation piece rather than a lecture, inviting teachers to pause, reflect, and really consider the stories our eyes tell.

We spoke about the eyes as a visual microphone, capable of expressing emotion, intention and story at different volume levels. Eyes are not just performance tools, but vital contributors to focus, gaze, awareness, balance and connection in dance.

The room was alive with curiosity, generosity and insight. The teachers were incredible, the discussion flowed, and our two beautiful students helped bring the ideas to life in the most honest way.

I closed with the following excerpt from Indian classical dance scripture — the heart of it all:

Where the hand is, the eyes follow.
Where the eyes go, the mind follows.
Where the mind is, there is the feeling.
Where the feeling is, there is mood.

So I left the room with this question:
If the eyes lead the mind, and the mind leads feeling, where do I want my eyes to go, and what stories do I want them to tell?

A huge thank you to Cecchetti Victoria for the invitation and the warmth of today, and to Anne for sharing this journey with me.
Here’s to taking the blinkers off!

World Tutu Day at InSync

Today we’re celebrating not just tutus, but costume, creativity, culture, and the many chapters that make up our fabulous InSync team.

From first tutus to stage costumes, national dress to performance wear. These photos reflect moments from different ages, stages, and seasons of life. Each one tells a story of where our love of movement began (or evolved), and how it continues to shape who we are today.

World Tutu Day is a reminder that dance lives far beyond one style or tradition. It’s about expression, memory, joy, and connection.

We hope this brings a smile, a little nostalgia, and maybe a spark of inspiration
Happy World Tutu (and Costume) Day!

I am so excited to be presenting at the CECCHETTI BALLET AUSTRALIA - VICTORIAN TEACHERS REFRESHER COURSE SUNDAY 8TH FEBRUARY, 2026 - VCASS

LET’S TAKE THE BLINKERS OFF
Anne Butler/ Narelle Forbes

Anne and Narelle will explore the use of eyes to lead the dancers in a direction of movement both artistically and anatomically. The dancer’s gaze offers balance, alignment and multi directional movement that is often neglected in their training. Let us explore this concept using the second set of Enrico Cecchetti’s devised port de bras. As Sir Frederick Ashton espoused in relation to Cecchetti’s carriage of the arms, “all dancers should daily do the wonderful port de bras”. As the eyes are the “window of the soul”, come join us in finding the view.

Day of Mourning – Bondi

Today we pause to acknowledge the Day of Mourning for the lives lost in Bondi.

Our hearts are with those who passed, with their families and loved ones, and with everyone in the community affected by this tragedy. We hold space for grief, reflection, and compassion, and we stand alongside all those mourning today.

Sending love, strength, and quiet support during this deeply difficult time. 🤍
