Something I remind my patients (and myself) often.
We tend to think healing has to look like doing more, trying harder, adding another supplement or protocol. But so often the first real shift happens when your nervous system finally feels safe enough to stop bracing.

Look at this baby face 🥺 this past weekend marked 17 years since I left my dream job ✈️

Since I was about 15 all I wanted to do was be a flight attendant. I wasn’t much one for school (hello to all my late diagnosed chicky babes 👋) and a family friend made it sound so glamorous. And after countless interviews, a couple of rejections, a few years working on the ground in the airport, I finally got to put on those wings at the ripe old age of 23. Within a couple of years I’d up-skilled and become an in-flight trainer, followed shortly after by a promotion to Cabin Manager. I was living the life I’d dreamed of and I made some amazing friends along the way - still the thing I miss most about leaving aviation.

But as it turns out… the reality never lived up to the dream (for me). Be nice to your flight attendants because it’s a flipping hard job - physically demanding on the body and you’re seeing people often at their most stressed and vulnerable. These days understanding more about my neurodivergence the idea of being stuck in a metal tube with up to 800 people a day sounds like my worst nightmare so I’m not even sure how I lasted 3 1/2 years 😵‍💫 🤣

Thankfully the world of nutrition and natural health came into my life and what started as a quiet curiosity, to some part time study while I continued flying to then bravely taking the leap out of my secure, full-time “dream” job to full-time student. It was scary to step away from the dream and into something unknown and new. But once I did I haven’t regretted it for a moment - although I do miss the cheap travel 🤣

Can you relate? Did the dream not match up with the reality? Or have you bravely chosen a different path?

N.B. sitting inside the engine of an aircraft was not encouraged or endorsed by the company I worked for! Probably something to do with safety 🤷🏻‍♀️

So many of the women I see in clinic have tried every cleanser, every serum, every elimination diet — and they're still breaking out.

I understand why. From the outside, acne looks like a skin problem. But skin is so often a symptom, not the cause. The real story is usually happening underneath — in the gut, the hormones, the nervous system.

When we take the time to actually investigate those root causes, the skin usually follows.

Swipe through for the drivers I look at in clinic — and if this is something you're living with, know that you don't have to just manage it forever. There's usually a reason, and reasons can be worked with.

It's been a little while... so I thought a reintroduction was warranted. 👋🤍

Hi, I'm Erin.

I'm a Naturopath and Reiki practitioner, and I spend my days helping women and mothers better understand what their bodies are trying to tell them—whether that's through hormone changes, gut or skin concerns, feeling completely burnt out, or simply not feeling like themselves anymore.

A few things you should know about me...

🌿 I'll happily chat about bowel habits over a cup of herbal tea (occupational hazard 😅).

🤍 I'm fascinated by how everything in the body is connected, which is probably why I ask lots of questions in clinic.

☕ There's a very good chance you'll find me with a mug of tea in my hand.

✨ I believe healing doesn't have to be complicated, and that your symptoms deserve curiosity, not judgement.

🌸 I'm a big believer that mums deserve support too—not just everyone around them.

Around here you'll find plenty of conversations about women's health, herbal medicine, nervous system support, Reiki, and gentle reminders to slow down and listen to your body.

Whether you've been here for years or you've only just found this little corner of the internet, I'm so glad you're here. 🤍

Imagine giving yourself an hour each week to simply pause.

No distractions. No pressure. Just time to relax, breathe and reconnect with yourself.

Our new meditation term begins tomorrow, and the evening class is almost full.

We'd love for you to join us. 🤍

New motherhood is one of the most demanding seasons of a woman's life, and often one where we receive the least support. I know that firsthand.

These are the herbs I come back to again and again with the mothers I work with — used for generations, for good reason. Shatavari to nourish and restore. Motherwort for the big waves of overwhelm. Passionflower for the nights your body is tired but your brain won't switch off. Raspberry leaf for postpartum recovery.

Herbs need to be right for you specifically, especially while breastfeeding. Which is exactly why personalised care matters so much in this season.

If you're in early motherhood and feeling depleted or just not yourself, please reach out. There's a lot we can do together, and you don't have to figure it out alone. Link in bio.
