Book Week fun with my gorgeous mermaid! 🧜‍♀️💜✨

Sofia went as The Singing Mermaid and she looked amazing 💜 Mermaid tail, a favourite book and a bit of sparkle ✨

And yes… even mermaids need their Mimi Bibs! 💕 I love that Sofia can wear hers with all her outfits without it feeling like something boring or clinical. Today the pink was a pretty perfect match for her mermaid look ☺️

Have you ever found yourself constantly pulling a blanket back up, worrying it will slip into the wheelchair wheels, or struggling to get a jacket on and off?

I know I have.

When Sofia was little, every outing seemed to involve readjusting blankets, battling with jackets and trying to keep her warm while making sure everything stayed safe and comfortable.

That's when I realised the problem wasn't that we needed another blanket.

We needed a blanket that actually worked.

A blanket designed specifically for wheelchair users. One that stayed securely in place, was easy to put on and take off, and made life just that little bit easier for both the person using it and their caregiver.

But there was something else that was just as important to me.

I was tired of seeing disability products that looked plain, clinical or boring.

I wanted Sofia to have something she was excited to wear. Something full of beautiful colours and fun patterns that reflected her personality and made her smile every time we headed out.

On our way interstate today for Sofia's scoliosis review 💜

She has been working so hard in her physiotherapy to help maintain her scoliosis and slow its progression. We're incredibly proud of her determination and all the effort she puts in every day.

For now, sleeping soundly in her cosy Mimi 💕 It has been great for the car trips 🚗
