We are so grateful to have experienced this truly special place as a family. We were surrounded by the most caring staff and volunteers, all dedicated to making every child and family feel welcome, supported, and cared for.

It's no wonder Sofia, and so many children like her, feel safe, comfortable, seen, heard, and valued here.

Bear Cottage is more than just a place—it’s a peaceful haven filled with kindness, compassion, and understanding for families who need that extra support. We feel incredibly lucky to have spent time there 🧸❤️

Mimi Blankets began because I couldn't find what Sofia needed 💖

I wanted a blanket that would keep her warm and secure without constantly slipping off or getting caught in the wheels. And I wanted colour—because there simply wasn't enough joy, brightness, and choice in the disability world.

What started as a solution for Sofia has grown into something that brings comfort, colour, and happiness to families around the world. For that, I am incredibly grateful 🙏💕

Accessilife was created by my beautiful friend Maria, mum to her gorgeous son Mateo, who lives with cerebral palsy and requires 24-hour care — just like our Sofia.

As parents in the disability community, we know how overwhelming it can feel trying to find the right services, support, products, and information. Maria created Accessilife to make that journey easier for other families by bringing essential disability resources all together in one place.

Maria, the kind and caring person that she is, pours so much love into caring for Mateo while also building this incredible small business to help others.

The beautifully cosy Berber Fleece Mimi Blanket 🩷

One of the things I love about the Mimi Blanket (and one of the reasons behind its creation) is that it actually stays in place. No slipping into the wheels, no constant readjusting — just cosy comfort that stays snug and secure.

The side clips easily attach to the wheelchair, which makes such a difference when we’re out and about or even just at home.

Sofia loves wearing hers indoors, and sometimes we even use it as a lap blanket. With the sides clipped in place, it stays exactly where it should, making it so much easier to keep her warm and cosy.

It’s one of those simple things that makes everyday life feel a little easier 😌

I honestly don’t know what we’d do without our Mimi Blanket some days 💜

It’s made outings with Sofia so much easier and less stressful. Instead of struggling with jumpers and layers, I can just pop the blanket on and know she’ll stay warm and cosy. And if she starts getting too warm, it’s so easy to take off over her head in seconds.

It might seem like a small thing, but having something that makes everyday outings quicker, easier, and more comfortable really means so much!
