A few gentle health reminders for the weekend:

The Progress by Design report is now published, and we are proud to be featured in it.

Produced by The George Institute for Global Health, UNSW, and collaborators including Next Practice Deakin, the report draws on a national roundtable of clinicians, policymakers, consumers and researchers who have been building team-based models of care across Australia.

The central finding: the capability for genuine primary care reform already exists within the sector. What is missing is the system architecture and leadership to support it.

Next Practice Deakin is included as a case study, recognised for our approach to GP-led, genuinely team-based care built on shared purpose, trust, and a physical environment designed around the patient and the team rather than the individual practitioner.

This is the model of care we have believed in since we opened in 2021. It is good to see it reflected in the national conversation on primary care reform.
