We are stepping up in September to raise awareness for babies with Cerebral Palsy 💚

What is Cerebral Palsy?
- Cerebral Palsy is an umbrella term that refers to a group of disorders affecting a person’s ability to move. In most cases, it is caused by an injury to the developing brain either during pregnancy or shortly after birth. It is a permanent life-long condition
What is one method of treatment?
- Early intervention is one method used to harness neuroplasticity to teach the brain to adapt, reorganise and build new connections.

Today we highlight the importance of physiotherapy and how we help assist people across the globe 🌍

As physiotherapist we can help in many different ways including but not limited to:
- Gait retraining and postural correction
- Serial casting
- Improving muscle strength and endurance
- Assisting in assessing, diagnosing and treating injuries
- Assessing and managing contractures
- Developing gross motor skills through hands on facilitation and motor planning
- Improving balance and proprioception
