Adelaide has invited another "Creating Joy Circle," a testament to the profound impact of collective intention. The following audio excerpt captures the essence of this gathering, featuring Caroline channeling Mother Sha-Riah and expanding on Brad's introduction: "Inner slow building joy." This transformative experience offers a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and we hope it inspires you to integrate its principles into your own work and community. This recording is a snapshot of the JOY circle in Adelaide from March 2026. https://wildplainsmedicine.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/20241219_joy_dawns_circle2.mp3. Join us for our upcoming Joy circles in Sydney on August 16th and Adelaide in late September - visit our events tab for details.

When effort fades—when individuals within a family no longer try to see through each other’s eyes, no longer seek to understand where another stands in life—something vital begins to wither. When the will to connect, to commune, to reach across the space between us is abandoned, the human bond itself starts to erode. And without that bond, the human group cannot endure.

The Seven Deadly Sins as a Therapeutic Tool??
Yes, that’s correct.
The story of the seven deadly sins begins not as a list of bad behaviours or moral warnings, but as a spiritual framework and therapeutic tool used by early Christian monks to understand the inner struggles that shape human conduct.
Monks observed thoughts, habits, and emotional patterns, helping people name what was driving distress, temptation, or disconnection. By identifying these using terms such as pride, envy, anger, and so on, these “therapist monks” created a structured way for people to reflect, address, and return to a more balanced spiritual life.
In this way the therapist monks of the early Christian tradition were offering something remarkably familiar for the modern-day seeker of spiritual connectedness: an approach that links self-awareness, observation of harmful patterns and understanding their roots, resolution, practicing change, and healing.
Whilst we may not subscribe to the notion of sin, we do see many people who are disturbed or distressed by their responses, reactions, actions, and so on to the harmful or unsupportive patterns in their life. By becoming aware, gaining knowledge and clarity, finding meaning and moving towards transformation through the spiritual exploration and healing of various shamanic practices, they create the space for the peace, purpose and sovereignty they are yearning to materialise.
At Wild Plains Medicine, our shamanic tradition uses Connection, Communion, Kindness, Adaptability & Resilience, and Thriving, for non-judgemental self-awareness, personal development, skill building, balance, peace & defence, leadership and community development.
Whatever your heritage or religion, don't see tools as self-condemnation, but a chance to see how far you've come, and where you're aspiring to go! 🙏🌺

Warm regards,
Brad & Caroline

Dear fellow journey men and women,
A note from down the road:

The hard way is the easy way in the long run.
The easy way rarely works.

Looking for the easy way reveals there are things you don’t want to see or acknowledge.

When the easy way doesn’t work, it’s hard to see and understand why — because from the outset, you’ve been consciously or unconsciously avoiding that work. As a result, you can’t truly hold yourself accountable.

The hard way is a journey of knowing yourself well and refusing to let anything block or impede you.

Some excuses are very real, but when you know yourself deeply and you’re not afraid of the work, you can almost always find a way.

Keep going with your sovereign journey. It is needed by the human group. Let your resolve be your fuel!

Warm regards,
Brad and Caroline
