✨ Play Dough for Fine Motor Fun! ✨
Play dough is more than just fun—it helps build the hand strength and coordination children need for skills like drawing, cutting, buttoning clothes, and handwriting
🖐️ Opening the container independently helps children develop hand strength, bilateral coordination (using both hands together), and problem-solving skills. If the lid is too difficult, try loosening it slightly to encourage success while still allowing your child to do most of the work themselves.
💪 Squeezing, squashing, pinching, and pulling play dough helps strengthen the small muscles in the hands and fingers that are needed for handwriting, cutting, dressing, and other everyday tasks.
🔤 Use play dough to create letters of the alphabet, helping children develop letter recognition, pre-writing skills, and early literacy.
🥖 Rolling play dough into balls and snakes using hands helps develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity, while using a rolling pin encourages bilateral coordination and upper limb strength.
✨ Best of all, children are learning through play without even realising it!
