We are taught to give and then wait. Wait for the thank you, the favor returned, the small proof that it mattered to someone.

But the real gift rarely lands in someone else’s hands. It lands in you.

Every time you give without keeping score, something shifts. You get a little more patient, a little more open, a little less guarded. You start trusting that you have enough to share. And that change stays with you, no matter what the other person does with what you gave them.

That is the part no one can take back. The kindness you practiced. The person you were while you gave.

So give freely. Not because it will return to you, but because of who you become each time you choose to.

The response was never the reward. You were.

When has giving changed you more than it changed the person on the other end? Tell us below 👇

Mistake

n.

1. An opportunity life gives us to know better.

2. An opportunity life gives us to earn trust.

It’s interesting how often we grow terrified of making mistakes, when there’s no greater vehicle for gaining knowledge and trust.

Think about it:

When a mistake is made, we’re granted deeper awareness of what’s working and what isn’t. And there’s nothing more valuable than knowing better—because once we know better, we get to do better.

It’s also when trust (with another or with ourselves) actually gets forged.

Because trust doesn’t happen in perfection when there are no errors. It happens when a mistake happens, accountability is taken and amends are made with new behavior.

But it’s not entirely a mystery to me why we are often scared of making mistakes.

If we’re being honest, we’re not really afraid of making a mistake as much as we’re afraid of how we treat ourselves when we do.

It’s dealing with the shame, guilt, negative self-talk (emotional abuse) that we tend to collapse into.

It's having to reconcile the version we want to be with the version we currently are.

It’s having to forgive ourselves, time and time again, for not meeting our own standards.

And that’s a beautiful process, if and when we let it.

The world changes in small ways every day. 🌎

Sometimes it changes because someone chooses kindness.
Because someone offers encouragement.
Because someone decides to stay kind in a world that often rewards hardness.

You may never fully know the impact your words, your smile, or your presence have on another person.

But someone out there is carrying hope today because of something you did.

And that matters more than you think.

✨ Be the reason someone believes there is still good in the world. ✨
