Sometimes the real impact of a retreat is what happens after you go home.

Since joining us at Nourish & Nurture, Carmen has made some powerful changes—not just in how she cares for herself, but in how she approaches her health, wellbeing and everyday life.

That’s what we want this retreat to create.

Not simply four beautiful days to pause and recover, but the space to understand what your mind and body have been telling you, reconnect with what you need, and make changes that are sustainable when you return to real life.

Carmen’s experience is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we give ourselves permission to pause, reflect and reconnect.

Sometimes the most powerful shift is understanding what is happening in your brain and body - and knowing what to do with that understanding.

Megs joined us for our last Nourish & Nurture Hormonal Reset Retreat, and one of the things she valued most was the connection between the science and the practice.

Understanding the brain–body connection.
Learning how stress and prolonged load can affect our nervous system, physiology and capacity.
And, importantly, experiencing practical, body-based exercises that can help us regulate, recover and reconnect.

Because insight matters - but having tools you can actually use in everyday life matters too.

Our Nourish & Nurture Retreat is about creating the space to understand yourself differently, experience what genuine recovery can feel like, and leave with practical strategies you can continue using long after the retreat is over.

Sometimes the best way to understand a retreat is to hear from someone who has lived it.

Donna joined us for our last Nourish & Nurture Retreat - and this is what the experience meant to her.

Four days to step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, and create space for genuine recovery.

But this retreat isn’t just about how you feel while you’re there. It’s about taking new insight, practices and priorities back into your everyday life - and creating changes that last well beyond the retreat.

As see on ‘The Business’!

It was a privilege to discuss the latest ABS data on rising financial pressures and what it means for our mental wellbeing.

Financial stress in our ever-changing society affects far more than our bank accounts. It can influence our relationships, our mental health, our sense of safety, and how we navigate everyday life.

Thank you for the opportunity to share these insights and help bring greater awareness to the psychological impact of financial stress.

Today’s Joyful in June reminder: Mindfulness doesn’t have to look like meditation ☕️

It can be as simple as making your morning coffee. Not rushing or multitasking. Just being present with the warmth, aroma, and ritual of the moment. Small moments of presence can bring us back to ourselves.

What’s one daily ritual that helps you slow down? 💜

Today for , we’re giving a little love to the joints, especially in the upper body.

You might be wondering: Why is a psychologist talking about joints?

Because the mind and body aren’t separate. Tension in the mind often shows up as tension in the body and vice versa.

This gentle anti-rheumatic series on joints is one of my favourite ways to clear emotional, physical, and mental stress before the day begins. You can do it seated, even in bed, with no equipment — just your breath, your body, and your attention.

✨ Why it works:
✅ Releases stored tension from hands, wrists, and elbows
✅ Increases proprioception (your mind–body connection)
✅ Regulates breath and nervous system response
✅ Cultivates mindful presence through movement

✨ How to use it:
Start with slow, focused movements of the hands, then move through the wrists and elbows. Sync your breath with the motion. Bring your attention to each joint as you go, letting movement become a form of meditation.

This is one to *repeat daily* for 20–30 days and watch how your energy, clarity, and tension levels respond.

Tag someone who might need this today and let me know if you give it a go. This is part one of a two-part joints video; if you’d like to get the full video ahead of time, leave a comment with the code JOINTS and I’ll DM you!
