Transform Parenting Transform Parenting is a safe space for new parents to grow in their role as mothers and fathers.

Together, with our facilitators and a network of parents, we will be supporting you as you embark on this journey of self-discovery. Unlike other parenting education programs, Transform Parenting puts the focus on YOU, the parent. Together with a community of fellow mums or dads, you will be guided by your facilitator to learn the skills to support your transition to parenthood, allowing you to embrace the hardness and joys of being a parent. Our courses are delivered in a safe learning environment that facilitates sharing with your fellow mums (or dads). Alternatively, our online course is available for parents that are not able to make the weekly in house groups

Imagine feeling calmer, more confident and more connected to your kids, even when they're pushing all your buttons!

That's what we'll be working towards in my upcoming From Chaos to Connected Parenting Workshop.

Because knowing the kind of parent you want to be is one thing. Being able to access that version of yourself when your child is melting down, refusing to cooperate or pushing you to your limits is another.

Parenting isn't just about understanding our children's behaviour. It's also about understanding ourselves.

Why do certain behaviours trigger us so much? Why do we sometimes react in ways we promised ourselves we never would?

In this practical 2.5-hour workshop, we'll explore what's happening beneath your child's behaviour, what happens inside YOU when you're triggered, and how to create more space between the trigger and your response.

You'll walk away with a greater understanding of yourself and your child, and practical tools to bring more calm, clarity and connection into everyday family life.

Feeling safe, supported and understood during birth matters more than we sometimes realise.

In this week's Transform Your Birth podcast, beautiful Kate shares how her first birth left her feeling frightened, and overwhelmed.

We talk about how the birth environment can influence labour, why continuity of care matters, and how Kate approached her second birth with a very different mindset and support team.

It's a powerful reminder that birth isn't just about what happens physically. How a woman feels, and the people surrounding her, matter enormously.

If you're preparing for your first birth, or wondering how to approach birth differently the second time around, there's so much to take away from this conversation.

What happens when your first birth leaves you fearful of giving birth again?

In this beautiful podcast conversation, I chat with my dear friend Kate about her two very different births.

After a difficult and traumatic first birth ending in an emergency caesarean, Kate was determined to approach her second birth differently.

She shares her journey towards a healing VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean), including the fears that followed her into labour, the incredible support of her midwife Lindsay, and the moment she finally held her beautiful 4.6kg baby boy in her arms!

What I love about Kate's story is that it reminds us just how much relationships, trust and the model of care matter in birth.

And that a positive birth isn't necessarily an easy birth. It's about feeling informed, respected, supported and involved in the decisions along the way.

There's so much wisdom in this conversation, whether you're preparing for your first birth or hoping for a different experience next time.

Thriving as a New Mum is a space to talk about the things that come with becoming a mother, the changes in your identity, your relationships, your confidence, your priorities and the kind of parent you want to be.

There’s a little structure and guidance from Tracey, but plenty of space for the real conversations, questions and experiences that come up each week.

And you’ll be doing it alongside the same group of local mums and babies for 10 weeks, giving you time to actually get to know one another and build your village.

Our next group starts soon.

You’re not just getting to know your baby. You’re getting to know yourself as a mother, too.
There’s a name for this transition: matrescence.
Becoming a mother can bring changes to your body, your brain, your relationships, your priorities and your sense of self.
Some of those changes can feel beautiful. Some can feel surprising. Some might take a little time to find your way through.
But you’re not simply leaving an old version of yourself behind.
You’re growing into someone new.
This is one of the conversations we make space for in Thriving as a New Mum, because those early months aren’t only about your baby’s development.
You’re developing too.

What does a “good mother” look like in your head?
Try this little exercise. Grab a pen and paper (or use the notes in your phone if you're nap trapped) and write:

“A good mother should…”
Then finish that sentence as many times as you can, quickly and without overthinking it.
A good mother should be patient.
A good mother should enjoy being with her children.
A good mum should ask for help when she needs it.
A good mother should keep the house together.
A good mother should put her children first.
A good mum should make room for fun and connection.
A good mother should cope.
Whatever comes up, write it down.
Then look at your list and ask yourself: Where did these ideas come from? Are they realistic? Which ones actually matter to me? And which ones am I ready to let go of?

This is the kind of conversation we have in Thrive. Not how to be the “perfect” mother, but how to understand the expectations you’ve brought into motherhood and find your own way of being a mum.
Our next 10-week Thrive group starts 14 October in Kambah, Canberra.

Do you have strategies for dealing with pain in labour? And how are you framing it in your mind?
The way we think about what’s happening in our body can influence the way we meet the intensity of labour.
Instead of thinking only in terms of pain, what happens if you think of contractions as pressure, tightening, waves, surges, rushes of energy with a purpose?
When you understand what your body is doing, you may resist it less. You can begin to see the value in what’s happening rather than simply wanting it to stop.
Every contraction is doing something.
And there’s another gift in the process: discovering “I am so much more powerful than I imagined.”
As I say in this clip, that little piece of knowledge can be very handy at 3am when your baby has already woken you two or three times. 😅

We spend so much time preparing women for birth.

But becoming a mother? That’s a transition too.

Your identity shifts. Your relationships change. Your confidence can wobble. You’re learning to trust yourself while caring for a tiny human, often on very little sleep.

And you’re not meant to figure all of that out alone.

Thrive is 10 weeks of real conversation, connection and support with other new mums navigating the same enormous transition.

Not a class on how to look after your baby.

A space to look after you, while you find your way into motherhood. ❤️

Thrive is held in person in Kambah, Canberra. Find out more via the link in bio.
