My sweet little Rosie snapped a rare photo at this mornings class. I don’t photograph these sessions so was actually kinda nice to see she’d captured this ❤️
Keepfit is a session for the older ladies and gents in town, we do a lot of seated exercises and we use resistance bands. We build strength, we improve balance and we have a giggle 😜
Tuesdays and Fridays at 11am in the RSL hall. Fridays the quieter one if you’re after less of a crowd to start with 🥰

TODAY is Rare Disease Day! 💙💚💜

Across the world, our rare disease community is sharing our colors and demanding equity for the 300 million people living with a rare disease.

But what’s the difference between equity and equality?

● Equality means giving everyone the same resources or opportunities.

● Equity recognizes that people have different needs and provides the specific support required to reach fair outcomes.

In healthcare, equity means ensuring that every person—no matter how rare their condition—has a fair and just opportunity to be healthy. That’s why we are committed to breaking down barriers to care, improving research, and advocating for global change.

🌍 Historic Progress for Rare Diseases! 🌍

This month, the rare disease community reached a huge milestone! The World Health Organization’s Executive Board has officially recommended the adoption of the first-ever World Health Assembly (WHA) Resolution on Rare Diseases at the upcoming 78th WHA. This resolution is a critical step toward securing global recognition, action, and healthcare equity for people living with rare diseases.
