Our little EKKApillars have officially packed their bags and headed off to the Ekka! πŸŽ‘πŸ’š

A few weeks ago, our clever little creators made their very own grass caterpillars, and ever since, they've been checking on them each week with excitement as they watched their "hair" grow longer and longer! πŸŒΎπŸ‘€ There were lots of giggles as everyone compared whose EKKApillar had the craziest hairstyle!

This week was the grand finale! πŸŽ‰ The children carefully decorated their EKKApillars, adding plenty of colour, creativity and personality before sending them off to be judged at this year's Ekka. 🎨✨

This special Farm project has been full of learning, laughter and wonder. The children discovered how plants grow, practised caring for something over time, explored creativity through art, and learned that sometimes the best things are worth waiting for. πŸŒ±πŸ’›

Now it's fingers crossed 🀞 as our fabulous EKKApillars enjoy their big adventure at the Ekka! We are so proud of all the love, patience and imagination our children poured into their creations.

πŸ‘€ Heading to the Ekka this year? Keep an eye out for our amazing EKKApillars in the competition displays! We'd love for you to snap a photo with them and share it with usβ€”we can't wait to see our little masterpieces out in the big wide world! πŸ“ΈπŸ’šπŸ›

πŸŒΎπŸ… Good luck, little EKKApillarsβ€”we're cheering you on every step of the way!

πŸƒπŸ½οΈ Welcome to the Mud Kitchen CafΓ©! πŸ½οΈπŸƒ

Today our little chefs rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the mud kitchen, creating the most imaginative meals for their friends and educators! πŸ₯£πŸŒΏ From leafy salads to stick stir-fries and flower cupcakes, every dish was made with plenty of creativity, teamwork and love.

As the children mixed, poured, measured and served their delicious "recipes," they were developing important skills through playβ€”building language, problem-solving, cooperation and confidence while exploring the natural environment around them. 🌱✨

There were lots of smiles as educators became very willing customers, enjoying a menu full of muddy masterpieces! It was wonderful to see the children using their imaginations, taking turns, sharing ideas and proudly serving up their creations.

At Kingdom Kids, we know that some of the richest learning happens when children are free to explore, create and connect through play. πŸ’š

Over the past few weeks, our Springwood Kindy children have been creating and caring for their own Ekkapillars using recycled stockings, soil, and grass seed. They have loved watching them grow and learning the importance of looking after living things.
This week, Farmer H visited to help the children decorate their caterpillars ready for next week's show. We are so proud of their creativity, patience, and hard work, and we can't wait to see them on display!

πŸ’›πŸŒˆ Celebrating National Friendship Day! πŸŒˆπŸ’›

What better way to celebrate the amazing friendships we've built than by creating our very own Friendship Bracelets! πŸ₯°βœ¨

Our children carefully selected each bead, making thoughtful choices to design a bracelet that was as unique and special as they are. This creative experience encouraged self-expression while celebrating the wonderful connections they share with their friends. πŸ“ΏπŸ’•

To wrap up our heartwarming day, we filled our room with smiles, laughter and LOTS of hugs! πŸ€— Our friends shared cuddles with one another before enjoying some extra special bear hugs from Miss Nikki and Miss Davinaβ€”a beautiful reminder that kindness and caring help everyone feel safe, valued and loved. πŸ»πŸ’›

Friendship is one of the greatest gifts we can nurture in early childhood, and today was a wonderful celebration of compassion, inclusion and belonging.

πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’™ Rainy Day Magic Through Art & Learning! πŸ’™πŸŒ§οΈ

Our clever Kookaburras have been exploring colours, creativity and cause-and-effect through a beautiful raindrop painting experience! πŸŽ¨πŸ’§

Using water droppers, the children carefully squeezed bright blue droplets onto their paper before lifting it up high and watching the paint trickle down like falling rain. There were lots of excited smiles as they observed the colours flowing and creating unique rainy masterpieces! β˜”βœ¨

This simple yet captivating activity supported the children to strengthen their fine motor skills, enhance their colour recognition, and develop their cognitive thinking as they experimented with how the paint moved across the page. It was a wonderful opportunity to combine science, creativity and sensory exploration all in one!

Every artwork was as unique as the child who created it, proving that learning through play is always full of wonder. πŸ’™πŸŒˆ

πŸ‘πŸ’• Double the Cuteness Has Arrived at Our Farm! πŸ’•πŸ‘

There has been some very exciting news at our Kingdom Kids Farm... we've welcomed TWO beautiful newborn lambs! 🍼🌿

Our children have been absolutely captivated as they've had the special opportunity to meet these precious new arrivals snuggle close to their mums, and explore their new surroundings. Experiences like these create magical moments while helping children develop empathy, compassion and a deeper understanding of the life cycle and caring for animals.

There's nothing quite like seeing the excitement and wonder on little faces when they meet a newborn animal for the very first time! πŸ’š

Be sure to ask your child all about our newest fluffy farm friendsβ€”we're sure they'll have plenty of stories to share! πŸ‘βœ¨

This term, our Springwood Kingdom Kids are exploring the wonderful world of the environment! πŸŒπŸ’š

This week, the children have been busy beautifying our front playground by planting seedlings and helping to create a welcoming habitat for nature. 🌼🌿 Their hard work is all part of our preparations for the arrival of our native bees in September.

Through this hands-on experience, the children are learning about caring for the environment, the importance of plants, and how pollinators help our gardens thrive. 🌸🐝

We are excited to watch our seedlings grow, see the beautiful flowers bloom, and enjoy harvesting some of the produce we've planted. The children can't wait to observe the changes in our garden over the coming months!

🌱 A big thank you to our little gardeners for their enthusiasm and care as they help our playground flourish. 🌼

Our Springwood Kindy children have started the PALS Social Skills Program with Stacey's - Independent Learning, and our first session focused on Greeting Others. 😊

The children were introduced to our special PALS friends:
🦜 Kate the Kookaburra
🐨 Jack the Koala
🦘 Anna the Kangaroo

Together, they learned the three simple steps for greeting others:
πŸ‘€ LOOK
😊 SMILE
πŸ‘‹ Say "HELLO"
The children had lots of opportunities to practise these skills in a fun, supportive, and no-pressure environment, helping them build confidence in social interactions.

How you can help at home: Encourage your child to practise saying "hello" in different situationsβ€”whether it's greeting family members, friends, neighbours, or people in the community.

We look forward to continuing to build important social skills with our children throughout the program! πŸ’™

Last week, Springwood Kingdom Kids welcomed Ps Jayden from Real Life Christian Church and Calvary Christian College. Ps Jayden spent time getting to know the children, building connections and sharing in their learning experiences.

Throughout this term, the children will be exploring God's Unfolding Story, discovering how God's love, faithfulness, and purpose are woven throughout the Bible. We look forward to partnering with Ps Jayden as the children engage in meaningful discussions, stories, and activities that support their spiritual growth and understanding.
