🌿 Healing doesn’t have to happen all at once.

Healing takes time. Give yourself the same compassion you so easily give to others, and remember that progress doesn’t always look the way you expect.

Some days, progress might mean taking a step forward. On other days, it might mean resting, setting a boundary, asking for support, or simply getting through the day. Every step counts.

At Mind Psychology, we believe that mental health support is about creating a safe space to understand your experiences, build healthy coping strategies, and move towards meaningful change at your own pace.

You don’t have to navigate it alone. 💚

🕊️ Honouring those who stand for peace.

Today, we recognise the Australian peacekeepers who have served in some of the world’s most challenging environments, helping protect communities, support stability and create pathways towards peace.

Peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is built through courage, compassion, cooperation and a commitment to something greater than ourselves.

Today, we acknowledge the dedication and sacrifice of those who have served — and remember the difference their service has made, both at home and around the world. 🇦🇺

She Didn’t Just Run for the Finish Line. She Ran for a Future. 🌏💛

42.2 km. Months of preparation. And a whole lot of emotions.

Wendy’s Sydney Marathon didn’t go exactly to plan — there were tears, cramps, exhaustion and moments when simply continuing was the biggest challenge.

But she kept going.

Because resilience isn’t about having a perfect run. Sometimes, it’s about acknowledging that something is hard, being kind to yourself, and taking the next step. 🤍

And Wendy was running for something bigger, too.

Through Run for Rotary, she is helping raise funds to build school toilets for around 600 students in Gillesugur, Karnataka, India — helping create better conditions for students to stay in school and build a brighter future. 🌱

A marathon may have a finish line, but the impact of running for a cause can go much further.

Congratulations, Wendy! Mind Psychology is so happy and proud of you. 🏃‍♀️👏💛

When your mind feels like it’s working against you. 🫠

The overthinking.
The heaviness in your chest.
The thoughts you can’t shut off.
The exhaustion from pretending you’re coping. 🥀

Some days, even getting out of bed feels like a battle.

And if you’ve been telling yourself, “I should be able to handle this,” — maybe you don’t have to handle it alone. 🤍

Asking for help isn’t admitting defeat.
It’s recognising that you deserve support.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely falling apart to reach out. 🌱

What if we stopped waiting for R U OK? Day to check in? 💛

Today, 10 September, is R U OK? Day — but the message is bigger than one day.

This year’s reminder is simple: Ask R U OK? Any Day.

Because the person who needs a check-in might not be struggling on 10 September. It could be next Tuesday. It could be months from now. And sometimes, the people who seem fine are the ones who need someone to ask twice.

So don’t wait for a special day.

Ask. Listen. Stay connected. Check in again.

A genuine “R U OK?” can open a conversation that matters — any day of the year. 💛

A little kindness can reach places we cannot see. 🤍

We never know what someone is carrying behind closed doors. A thoughtful message, a listening ear, or simply choosing empathy over judgement can make someone feel a little less alone.

When it comes to mental health and emotional wellbeing, kindness matters more than we realise.

🌿 Be the person who makes it safe to talk, ask for help, and simply be human.

Your brain said: “Overthink it.”
ACT therapy said: “Okay… but what actually matters to you?” 👀🌱

Did you know ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) isn’t about forcing yourself to “think positive”? It’s about learning to handle difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them run your life.

💭 Who is it for?
ACT can be helpful for anxiety, stress, low mood, emotional overwhelm, and feeling stuck or disconnected from what matters to you.

✨ We provide ACT therapy at Mind Psychology.

Sometimes the person using drugs isn’t trying to destroy their life. They’re just desperately trying to escape the life they’re struggling to live. 💔

To silence the thoughts.
To numb the pain.
To forget for a few hours.
To feel anything other than what they’re feeling.

But you shouldn’t have to lose yourself just to get through what hurts.

Substance use can deeply affect your mental health, relationships, sleep, mood and ability to cope — often leaving you feeling even more overwhelmed once the temporary escape wears off.

There is another way. And you don’t have to find it alone. 🧠💚

If drugs have become your way of coping with anxiety, stress, trauma, depression or difficult emotions, reaching out for professional support can be the first step towards breaking the cycle and finding healthier ways forward.

💛 SEPTEMBER IS SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH

One conversation could make a difference. Are you willing to start it?

September is a reminder to check in, listen without judgement, and make space for honest conversations about mental health, su***de and emotional wellbeing.

You never truly know what someone may be going through behind closed doors. A simple “Are you okay?” can open the door to support and connection.

💛 If you’re struggling, you don’t have to face it alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength.

This September, let’s look out for one another, reduce the stigma around mental health, and remind those around us that their lives matter and help is available.

📌 Save this post. Share it. Start the conversation.

🧠💭 DID YOU KNOW? CBT CAN HELP CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK, FEEL & RESPOND.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours — and learn strategies to create positive change. 🌱

✨ Who is CBT for?
CBT may be helpful for people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, unhelpful thought patterns, or difficulties coping with everyday challenges. It can also be useful for developing healthier habits and coping strategies.

At Mind Psychology, our psychologists provide CBT and other evidence-based psychological therapies, tailored to your individual needs and goals. 💙

Your thoughts aren’t always facts — sometimes, they’re worth questioning. 👀
