I have been asked to send you a message of great thanks today, one of my volunteers **** *********had to perform CPR on his sister at 1am this morning when she stopped breathing, **** said he heard your voice in his head and he did everything that you taught him! He said he even agreed with what you said about having the phone on speaker so he could talk to 000 as his brother-in-law was in PANIC mode!!

She is now recovering in hospital 😊

He said “You’re the best” and I agree!!!

Have you heard of Ryan's Rule?
It's a three step process to support patients, as well as their families and carers, to raise concerns if a patient’s health condition is getting worse or not improving as expected.
Patients of any age admitted to one of our hospitals—including the emergency department—and in some Hospital in the Home (HITH) services can call Ryan’s Rule by following these steps. 👇
Once Ryan's Rule is enacted, a nurse or doctor will undertake a clinical review of the patient and their treatment.
Ryan’s Rule is not for general complaints and should only be used for concerns related to a patient’s health condition while they are in hospital.

Best outcome for any casualty is when the first person on scene is a trained First Aider, well done Kelsy! Amazing response 👍🏻

This morning, just after 7:20am, a local named Kelsy from Caboolture heard cries for help in her complex. She initially thought it was coming from an elderly lady who had fallen, she ran down two flights of stairs to assist, not expecting to come across a young boy trapped under a garage roller door.

Kelsy immediately flicked the switch to lift the door off the child and initiated CPR as he was now unconscious. She is first aid and CPR trained and was aware of potential internal injuries. After a couple terrifying minutes and manual breaths to the child, the young boy became a bit more responsive, and a pulse was returning; eventually he was able to slowly breathe for himself.

At this point, it was roughly 7:30am, and emergency services were arriving and able to take over. The child was transported to hospital.
