Hamilton Pops - Thank you

What a wonderful afternoon last Sunday! A big thank you to our incredibly talented musicians and soloists of the Hamilton Symphony Orchestra (HSO) for an unforgettable performance at Hamilton Pops.

Congratulations to Conductor Angus Christie and our MCs Leah Oswin and Rocco Causer for guiding such a fantastic program, and to everyone involved with the Hamilton Symphony Orchestra for bringing this event to life.

We are so grateful for the support of HSO Patron Barrie Aarons and Benefactor Ken Moore, along with the Robson family for their generous contribution.

A special thank you to Hamilton Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and particularly their amazing congregation, for hosting us and donating such a delicious afternoon tea. We also thank St Andrewโ€™s Presbyterian Church and the WDHS Community Liaison Team for their support.

Thanks to your generosity, we are thrilled to share that $2,700 was raised for the WDHS Annual Appeal, supporting the purchase of a Magseed/Magtrace detection system. This vital technology will help improve breast cancer care locally, allowing more women to access accurate treatment closer to home.

Events like this showcase the strength, generosity and talent within our communityโ€”and we thank everyone who attended and supported the day.

Coleraine residents from Wannon Hostel enjoy local outing ๐Ÿšœ

Our Wannon Hostel residents had a wonderful day out at the Hamilton Pastoral Museum May Rally, enjoying everything the day had to offer.

Brian Shaw was delighted to spot some tractors that once belonged to his brother, bringing back some very special memories.

Will Brooks enjoyed sharing his knowledge, happily explaining all about the horse floats.

Alan McDonald had a great time capturing the day, taking photos of everything along the way ๐Ÿ“ธ

A lovely outing full of memories, stories, and smiles!

From 15 May people aged 75 and over and can receive free RSV vaccination. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible from the age of 60.

Those eligible can receive the free RSV vaccine through their preferred local health service including GPs, immunisation clinics, community and Aboriginal health services and participating pharmacies.

RSV is a common respiratory virus that can lead to hospitalisation, intensive care and death. Aged care residents are particularly vulnerable due to shared living arrangements and frequent contact with staff and visitors.

Free influenza vaccines are available under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) for people most at risk of developing severe illness and complications.

The addition of the RSV vaccine on the NIP for older adults complements the free NIP influenza and COVID-19 vaccine programs.
