Awareness matters. Action creates change.

Homelessness is not just the absence of a home. It can disrupt a person’s safety, wellbeing, relationships, health and ability to engage in employment, education and everyday life.

At Pure Insights, we recognise that the barriers people experience rarely exist in isolation. Meaningful support begins by understanding the whole person, responding without judgement and connecting them with the right services and opportunities to move forward.

The theme for Homelessness Week 2026 is Homelessness Action Now - a reminder that Australia already knows many of the solutions that work. What is needed is coordinated action, adequate investment and a shared commitment to ensure everyone has access to a safe and secure home.

This Homelessness Week, we stand alongside the individuals, services and communities calling for action at the scale and urgency this crisis demands.

Take action: learn more about homelessness in your community, support or volunteer with a local homelessness service, share trusted information and call on decision-makers to invest in safe, secure and affordable housing.

Because a safe home should not be a privilege. It is the foundation from which people can connect, rebuild and soar.

Loneliness Awareness Week Australia | 3-9 August 2026

A conversation that makes someone feel heard.

A warm welcome that helps them feel at ease.

An invitation to join in.

A moment taken to genuinely check in.

Small, intentional acts of connection can create a meaningful sense of belonging - and remind someone that they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

At Pure Insights, connection is at the heart of what we do. We create safe and inclusive spaces where people feel seen, heard and supported to build confidence, strengthen their wellbeing and move towards their personal and employment goals.

This Loneliness Awareness Week, we encourage everyone to make a little more room for connection - at home, at work and throughout our communities. Sometimes, one genuine moment of connection can be the beginning of meaningful change - so reach out, start a conversation, or check in with someone today.

Happy International Friendship Day!

What does friendship mean to you?

This week, our team reflected on what connection truly means. The insights shared reminded us just how deep and wide our connection reaches because at the heart of friendship is the feeling of being seen, heard and knowing that you belong.

Many of us spend more time with the people we work with than we do at home. Through shared experiences, challenges, laughter and everyday conversations, workplace connections can grow into lifelong friendships. But not everyone has a strong social network or people they can turn to.

For someone experiencing loneliness or isolation, an appointment with their doctor, Pure Insights clinician, employment service provider or community provider may be one of the few meaningful interactions they have that week.

That’s why every interaction matters.

A conversation can help someone feel seen.

A simple hello can remind someone they are not alone. One genuine connection can make a difference to someone’s entire day.

This Friendship Day, take a small step towards connection. Pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. Send a text message or email. Or simply take a walk and say hello to someone you pass.

Friendship and connection can take many forms. Sometimes, they begin with one person taking the time to reach out. Human to human, every interaction matters.

Job Search Stress?

Try this 90- second reset.

1. Feet flat on the ground.
Notice 3 things you can see.
Let your senses bring you back to here and now.

2. Breathe with intention.
Inhale 4 • Hold 4 • Exhale 4 • Hold 4 - repeat x4 rounds.
Feel your breath settle your body.

3. One small step forward.
Send one email. Rewrite one line. Make one call.

Tiny actions create big shifts.

You don't need to do everything, just start with one gentle reset.

Or get in touch with your employment service provider to begin counseling with Pure Insights, we're here to support you.

Meet the Founder & CEO | Anastasia Massouras

What started as a "divine accident" became a purpose that continues to change lives more than 24 years later.

When Anastasia first walked into an employment services provider as a vocational counsellor, she quickly realised the program she had been asked to deliver wasn't what participants truly needed. Instead of following the script, she chose to listen. She took the time to understand people's stories, their barriers and, most importantly, their potential.

That moment of genuine connection built trust, and that trust became the foundation of Pure Insights.

More than two decades later, those same principles continue to guide who we are and how we show up every day, inspiring our team to carry that same commitment.

Human to human.

Every interaction matters.

Do the right thing, even when no one is looking.

From one local program to a national organisation with an international presence, our purpose has never changed - to create meaningful impact in people's lives, because success isn't measured by numbers alone. It's measured by the lives we touch, the confidence we help rebuild, the opportunities we create, and the futures we help shape.

Thank you for following our Meet the Team series and getting to know the people behind Pure Insights.

While our roles may differ, we're united by one purpose: to make a genuine difference, one person, one conversation and one interaction at a time.

We all have thoughts that feel loud and convincing.

"I'm not ready."
"I can't do this."

But thoughts are not always facts.
And they don’t have to control the choices we make.

You can notice a thought…
and still choose a different action.

Motivation doesn’t come from believing every thought we have.
It comes from recognising that we have a choice in how we respond.

Just because you think something…
doesn’t mean you have to follow it.

Pause.
Notice.
Choose differently.

That small shift?

That's where change begins.

That’s action.
That’s growth.

“What’s one thought you’re learning to challenge?”

This NAIDOC Week, we proudly recognise 50 Years of Deadly.

For 50 years, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the strength, resilience, cultures, and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while encouraging all Australians to learn, listen, and walk together with greater understanding and respect.

This year’s theme, 50 Years of Deadly, honours the generations of Elders, leaders, advocates, artists, and communities who have preserved culture, inspired change, and created lasting impact. In Aboriginal English, Deadly is a celebration of excellence, strength, pride, and achievement.

At Pure Insights, we believe meaningful change begins with connection. We are committed to walking alongside individuals and communities, creating opportunities that empower people to build confidence, develop skills, and move forward with purpose.

This week, we encourage everyone to take the opportunity to learn, celebrate, and support First Nations voices and communities. Together, we can continue building a future grounded in respect, inclusion, and understanding.

How will you celebrate NAIDOC Week? Share how you're recognising 50 Years of Deadly, whether it's attending a local event, supporting a First Nations business or artist, or taking the time to learn more about the rich histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Sometimes we wait until we feel motivated before we take the first step.

But often, it’s the first step that creates the motivation to keep going.

We know that when you’re struggling with your mental health, even the smallest task can feel overwhelming. That’s why progress isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing the next small thing.

Today, let go of the pressure to have it all figured out.

Just focus on one small step.

It might be:
• Getting out of bed.
• Drinking a glass of water.
• Replying to one message.
• Stepping outside for some fresh air.
• Taking a few slow, deep breaths.

Small steps may not feel like much in the moment, but they build confidence, create momentum, and remind us that progress is possible.

What’s one small step you’ll take today?

Share it in the comments, you never know who might feel encouraged to take their own first step.

Anxiety has a way of pulling us into the future - into the what ifs, the worst-case scenarios, and the things we can't control.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is pause.

Take one minute. Breathe. Ground yourself. Let your nervous system know that, right now, you're safe.

Save this reel for the moments you need it most, or share it with someone who might need a gentle reminder today.
