Hi Maryborough and Castlemaine,

My name is Johannah Ashley and I have been living in this region and practising Chinese Medicine for 24 years now. I have completed two, 4 year programs- one in Acupuncture and the other Chinese Herbal Medicine.

At the end of my first course in 2001, I travelled to China and completed an internship in Liao Ning province, which was a fabulous experience.

I have worked extensively in women's health, fertility and birth preparation, but now also work a great deal providing support for mental health and autoimmune disease and chronic degenerative complaints, such as Osteo and Rheumatoid arthritis, Parkinson's, MS, Endometriosis, Psoriasis, Eczema, Asthma, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Migraine etc.

I have a special interest in mental health and trauma, and its effect on our physical health.

My clinic is LGBTQIA+ friendly and neurodivergent welcoming!

Please feel free to call me on: 0431 064 064 if you would like to book an appointment or ask any questions.

Online Booking available at www.iyashi.com.au.

I have a session available tomorrow 28th July at 12noon in Maryborough and a session i. Castlemaine available Friday night.
Please feel free to call or text me for more information.

Term 3 Qi Gong begins on Tuesday 14th July

9.30am-10.30am
Awakwning Yoga Studio at the Salvage Yard, 4 Lewis Drive, Castlemaine
First class is a free trial.

Microcosmic Orbit Qi Gong

This term we explore 2 Extraordinary Channels that circle the midline of the body, from the crown to the perineum. The ren mai flows along the midline of the front of the body amd the du mai travels along the midline of the back of the body- up through the sacrum and spine to the crown of the head.

They are 2 separate channels that form a whole.

Ren mai is the Sea of Yin- the sea of all our fluids, blood, hormones, organs, ability to receive and be nourished, capacity for vulnerability, softness and holding.

Du mai is the Sea of Yang- the sea of our doing energy; running through the spine it activates our independance, mobility, protection and warmth.

Practicing Microcosmic Orbit qi gong helps us to bring balance to these 2 aspects of our being. It replenish and balances our mind and body. Bringing greater connection to ourselves, to our community and to the universe.

This form enlivens the spine, balances the hormonal system, calms the mind restores vitality.

Tao Yin Class Thursdays @ The Slavage Yard

So what is Tao Yin?

Taoist Yin is a style of qi gong that emerged in China around the same time as Yoga began in India.
They share many similar movements.
Tao Yin is more flowing and less static that yoga.

Tao Yin translates as 'To Guide and Direct'.The focus of this style of qi gong is to open and soften the channels/meridiens, guiding and directing the flow of energy throughout our bodies.
Much of Tao Yin is taught as part of martial arts conditioning.
Stretching and strengthening our whole body which creates resilience in the mind, emotions and physical body.

Half of this class is commonly mat work, focusing on strengthening and enlivening our core and lower back.

Please feel free to come along and have a free trial class.
