Bringing generations together through the spirit of mitzvot.
Emmy residents, students from Mount Scopus and C Care volunteers came together to bake apple crumbles as part of the Bridging the Gap program. In partnership with C Care, the cakes were delivered to those in need, embracing the spirit of giving ahead of Rosh Hashana, and adding a little sweetness along the way.

At Emmy, residents got a head start during a Bake & Taste session with Emmy President Rod Nirens. Together they baked his Safta’s honey cake and shared stories of the dishes and traditions that make Rosh Hashana so special.

Shana Tova!
What a wonderful way to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. The children from Gilly’s Early Learning Centre stole the show, performing a charming concert that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Residents had a wonderful time and enjoyed the children’s enthusiasm. Intergenerational moments like these are always a highlight, creating memories and plenty of joy.
The Emmy family wishes you a sweet and peaceful New Year.

Our Mexican-themed lunch was a lot of fun, bringing a touch of fiesta spirit to the dining room!
Residents embraced the chance to try something a little different, with delicious food, a lively atmosphere and great company. The celebrations were made even better by our catering team, who dressed up and joined in the fun.
We’re always looking for ways to mix things up and create enjoyable experiences for residents.

We were delighted to welcome a Student Delegation from Arava, Israel, for a special intergenerational experience at Emmy.
Residents had the opportunity to hear firsthand about life in Arava, from school and community life to the beautiful desert landscapes they call home. In partnership with the Zionist Federation of Australia, the visit was a meaningful celebration of Jewish heritage, connection, and resilience. Thank you to our guests for sharing their stories and inspiring conversations across generations.
