One week into recovery, and today was Enzo’s first little walk outside. 🐾

He’s doing really well, taking things slowly, and is definitely happy to be out enjoying some fresh air again.

Today was one of the scariest days we’ve had with our beautiful boy Enzo.
While down at the beach, Enzo swallowed three fishing hooks that had been left behind in bait on the sand.

He had to undergo major surgery today, including having his stomach opened to remove the hooks safely. We are incredibly grateful to the vets who took such amazing care of him, and now we wait for recovery and healing. 🤍

This post is simply a gentle reminder to please be mindful when fishing at the beach. Discarded hooks and bait may seem small, but they can cause devastating injuries to dogs, wildlife, and even children.

Please take a moment to clean up hooks, fishing line, and bait before leaving the beach.
A few extra seconds can save a life.

Hug your fur babies a little tighter tonight.
