NO SHAME. JUST HEALTH.
Get Checked, Stay Deadly.

This week we had the opportunity to showcase our Cancer Program at Sista2Sista, connecting with women, having conversations and sharing information about cancer prevention, screening, early detection and looking after our health.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out the surveys, the information received from these have been very valuable to the program.

Our Cancer Program is all about making cancer conversations feel a little easier and making health information accessible, culturally safe and relevant to our community.

Whether it’s through community stalls, school and youth sessions, screening promotion, healthy lifestyle activities or simply having a yarn, we want our community to feel supported to ask questions, know their bodies and take action when something doesn’t feel right. Because looking after your health shouldn’t come with shame or embarrassment.

💜 Have a yarn.
🩷 Know your body.
💚 Keep up with your screening.
💛 Get changes checked.

Keep an eye on our page, there’s plenty more to come from the Cancer Program!

Sometimes the signs are easy to miss.
A friend may seem quieter than usual.
A family member may be withdrawing.
A colleague may not seem like themselves.
A neighbour may have gone off the radar.

If you notice that someone isn't quite themselves, take a moment to check in. A simple conversation can make a world of difference.

If you're thinking it, Ask R U OK? Any Day.

Because a conversation could change a life.

💛 At Yadu Health, our team is always here if you'd like to have a yarn. Today, our staff were out in the community sharing a cuppa and cupcakes as a reminder that checking in with one another can make all the difference. Sometimes, the simple question, "R U OK?", is the start of an important conversation.

✨ Interested in helping shape how our Cancer Program works in community

🧡 Help break down shame, fear and barriers around cancer
And we’ll support you along the way!

Ambassadors will receive recognition and opportunities to be involved in community activities + plus some special Ambassador goodies and incentives along the way.

Interested?
