After much reflection, I have made the difficult decision to close my private physiotherapy practice.
This has not been an easy choice. Owning and running a small business has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, and it has been a privilege to care for the people of Ceduna. Thank you to every patient who has trusted me over the years, it has truly been an honour to be part of your health journey.
Like many small business owners, I have faced increasing challenges in recent years. Recruiting and retaining physiotherapists has become incredibly difficult, while rising operating costs have made it harder to keep the practice sustainable. I have always believed physiotherapy should remain affordable and accessible, and after careful consideration, I knew it was time for a change.
The good news is that I’m not going anywhere. I will continue working as a physiotherapist with Country & Outback Health, a not-for-profit organisation committed to improving access to healthcare across regional and remote South Australia.
I’m also delighted to share that our wonderful Allied Health Assistant, Ella, will be joining me. Many of you already know the care, warmth and professionalism she brings every day, and I’m so pleased we’ll continue working together to support our community.
This new chapter also gives me something that has become increasingly important, more time with my family and a healthier balance between work and home, while allowing me to continue serving our community for years to come.
To everyone who has supported my practice, as a patient, colleague, referrer or friend, thank you. Your loyalty, encouragement and trust have meant more than words can express.
The practice will officially close on 18 September 2026. Information about appointments and ongoing care will be shared soon to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
While this chapter is ending, I’m excited for what lies ahead and look forward to continuing to care for the Ceduna community alongside Ella through Country & Outback Health.
