# I Love My Job ❤️

Patients and their families walk into my rooms as complete strangers.

Yet sometimes, through the journey of diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and all the emotions that come with it, something remarkable happens.

The doctor–patient relationship evolves into a genuine friendship and a lifelong connection.

Being trusted to help people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives is a privilege I never take for granted. The gratitude, kindness, and relationships that grow from these experiences are worth far more than any operation, publication, or professional achievement.

Moments like this remind me why I chose surgery.

It is a feeling that is difficult to describe and impossible to fully understand until you experience it firsthand.

This is why I love my job. ❤️

You know you've been married a long time when you completely forget how other people see your spouse.

For 14 years I've mostly known Affie as my wife, my partner in life, and the person who complains that I spend far too long in the bathroom every morning and make her late. 😅

Then comedian Em Rusciano went to see her for a routine gynaecology check and proceeded to describe her as looking like a Kardashian. 😂

I nearly spat out my coffee listening to it.

Apparently my wife and I have been living in two completely different realities.

Have a listen. This is hilarious. ❤️

A message like this is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

As surgeons, we often focus on the technical aspects of care — the operation, the imaging, the pathology, the outcomes. But for our patients, feeling heard, supported, and reassured can be just as important as the treatment itself.

I’m truly grateful for the trust my patients place in me during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Messages like this mean more than words can express. ❤️
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

In contemporary aesthetic breast surgery, the work of Patrick Mallucci is often referenced when discussing the concept of the “ideal breast.” A recent article published in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported the results of a survey involving European and South American surgeons (n=80) and patients (n=369) exploring perceptions of the “ideal breast.” Both surgeons and patients, consistently favoured moderate breast volume, pronounced projection, tighter cleavage, and a balanced 50:50 upper-to-lower pole ratio. Using AI-generated images, the study also suggested an increasing convergence of aesthetic breast preferences across different cultural regions.
