A Small Change to Bulk Billing – Here's What You Need to Know!
At The Good Samaritan Medical Centre, we're committed to making your healthcare experience as simple and stress-free as possible.
The Australian Government has introduced a new Medicare requirement called Assignment of Benefit (AOB) for bulk billed appointments.
What does this mean for you?
If your appointment is bulk billed, you'll simply need to provide your consent for Medicare to pay the benefit directly to your doctor.
✅ It's quick and easy!
1️⃣ Attend your appointment with your GP.
2️⃣ Check your phone – Medicare will send you an SMS asking for your consent. (If needed, our friendly reception team can help you complete an electronic or paper consent form.)
3️⃣ Confirm your consent by following the instructions.
