Project Information:
As part of their placement at the Clare Community Centre, Connie & Louise’s project aims to reduce social isolation and help people of all ages discover the many social groups, activities, and services available throughout our community. As part of this project, they are creating a weekly "What's On in Clare" noticeboard at the Clare Community Centre and contributing information to the Lions Club directory.

This initiative is aimed at helping make it easier for residents, newcomers, and those who may not have access to social media or local networks to stay informed and connected.

Together, we can help create a more connected, inclusive, and welcoming Clare community. 🌟

🌈 Today is IDAHOBIT Day 🌈

Today, Lifeline Connect joins communities across the world in recognising the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

It’s a day to stand together against discrimination and celebrate the strength, diversity, and resilience of LGBTQIA+ people everywhere. πŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’š

While today is an opportunity to wear rainbow colours, share support, and start important conversations, it’s also a reminder that inclusion, acceptance, and kindness matter every day of the year.

Belonging and connection play a vital role in protecting and improving mental health. When people feel accepted, valued, and safe to be themselves, it helps reduce isolation, stigma, and barriers to seeking support.

By creating inclusive communities and offering active, non-judgmental support, we can help reduce su***de rates and ensure that everyone knows they are not alone. ❀️

Today, we encourage our community to:
✨ Create welcoming spaces for others
✨ Show kindness and allyship
✨ Speak up against discrimination
✨ Let LGBTQIA+ people know they are seen, valued, and supported

If this message resonates with you, we encourage you to share this post to help spread awareness and remind LGBTQIA+ people in our communities that they are supported, valued, and not alone. πŸŽ‰πŸ™Œ

Together, we can help build communities where everyone belongs. 🌈
