How is Transcend Trails nearly here again already? ๐Ÿคฏ

It feels like only yesterday we were out on the trails supporting runners at last yearโ€™s event.

Weโ€™re incredibly proud to be back supporting this awesome community event, helping runners stay healthy, moving well and chasing some pretty big goals.

Confession time.

Most people think a podiatry skin and nail appointment is just a nail trim. ๐Ÿ˜…

Meanwhile, we're over here checking blood flow, assessing nerve function, looking at pressure points, reviewing footwear, screening for skin and nail conditions and making sure every instrument has gone through a rigorous sterilisation process.

Sometimes we're even the first health professional to pick up something bigger going on.

Feet are surprisingly good at telling stories.

This week we've been reflecting on a simple idea: Country is medicine.

Time spent in nature has a way of helping us slow down, move our bodies, clear our minds and reconnect with what matters.

As podiatrists, we love helping people move well. Not just for the sake of their feet, but for the places, people and experiences that movement connects us to.

Recently we were stoked to be part of the 24HR Swim alongside so many legends helping raise funds for an incredible cause.

Ocean Heroes is all about creating opportunities for people on the autism spectrum to experience the confidence, connection and joy that comes from the ocean and surfing community.

Huge shout out to Taras for jumping in the pool, Jesara and Sam for bringing the energy, and Laura for helping coordinate the 'Friends of Ocean Heroes' team.

How are your little ones feet holding up at school?

At the beginning of the year we did a community education campaign collaborating with about happy, healthy and active little feet in preparation for school.

Here's one of my favourite tips from the article above:
๐ŸŒฑ Test the shoes properly in the shop.
(apologies in advance to the shop assistants for this)โ€ฆ but make as much noise, movement and fun as you can testing them out. I mean, properly test them out. Donโ€™t just walk up and down the hallway. Run. Jump. Go side to side. Crawl. Pretend to be a frog. A kangaroo. Laugh, play, and have lots of fun. Do all the things they would normally do in them.

What happens behind the scenes of a skin and nail appointment? ๐ŸŒฟ

When you visit a podiatrist, it's easy to focus on the treatment itself. What many people don't see is everything happening behind the scenes to keep you safe.

Every reusable medical instrument used during your appointment goes through a strict reprocessing cycle. This includes cleaning, sterilisation, quality checks, documentation, packaging, and storage in accordance with healthcare standards.

It's one of the many hidden parts of podiatry that patients rarely see but benefit from every day.

Whether you're visiting for nail care, skin concerns, or general foot health, there's a lot more involved than simply trimming nails or removing hard skin.

At The Foot Studio, we're proud of the systems, training, and attention to detail that help us provide safe, high-quality care for our community.

Where did your feet take you this weekend?

Through the storm? ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Whether you were out for a run, chasing the kids around, walking the dog, or simply getting from A to B in the wild weather, your feet got you there.

A little reminder to stop and appreciate everything your body allows you to do each day.

We spend a lot of time noticing our bodies when something hurts. Sometimes it's worth noticing everything they're doing when they don't.
