Metro Pain Research Institute is looking for people living with significant knee pain from severe osteoarthritis of the knee to participate in a new trial. All clinical trials are fully funded, meaning the visits and treatments will not cost you anything.

We are looking for people aged 35-65 to participate in a paid focus group discussion about pain.

For roughly 1 hour of participation, afternoon tea is provided and you are compensated with a $50 Coles/Myer voucher.

NOTE: No experience with pain is required to participate in this survey, we want to hear about your experience even if there is none.

MPRI is running a focus group with the intention of finding out more about how people, at different stages of life, understand what pain is. Enquire within.

Welcome to the team, Vida Nazemian!

Vida will be our Clinical Research Coordinator while she finishes the last month of her PhD at the University of Melbourne, then will commence as our Reseach Fellow.

Vida will be taking on the role of Clinical Research Coordinator while she completes the final month of her PhD in Neuroscience at the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Melbourne, then will commence as our Research Fellow.

A new spinal cord stimulation system is being released following the study on its 3-Month Data being presented at the 2021 North American Neuromodulation Society Meeting. The advantages of this device are its miniaturised design and lack of implantable battery as battery is supplied externally. Dr Bruce Mitchell was the lead investigator on this study and Dr Dan Bates and Paul Verrills were also involved in the research.
