Talk Listen Change Psychotherapy allows everyone the ability to heal and grow. My name is Rebecca Barnden and I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW). I endeavour to support individuals with personal challenges, situational crisis and mental health disorders. I provide a safe and non-judgemental space for each individual to explore their thoughts and feelings, and to discover their own inner strength and resilience through psychoeducation and therapeutic intervention. I can provide services to couples, families and individuals from the age of 16 years. I am registered with Medicare, and I am currently accepting Mental Health care plans (GP referred). In addition, have capacity to provide service for NDIS and private individuals.

EXPERTISE
Talk Listen Change has over 10 years’ experience in the public and not for profit sector treating a variety of mental health disorders inclusive of Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Psychotic Disorders, Trauma and Situational Crisis. Therapeutic interventions are inclusive of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Talk Therapy. Therapeutic interventions are tailored to the individual and can include multiple therapies.
APPROACH
Talk Listen Change uses an evidence based and collaborative approach with a holistic biopsychosocial view to the individual and presenting concern, whilst strengthening a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.
EDUCATION
Talk Listen Change provides competency and reassurance with tertiary qualifications inclusive of completion of Master’s Degree in Social Work (Qualifying), completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health. In addition, completion of accreditation as an Accredited Mental health Social Worker (AMHSW) and registration with Medicare to provide rebates for Mental Health Care Plans (referrals completed by General Practitioners or Mental Health Specialising Practitioners). Talk Listen Change is committed to continuous education and professional development, with a specific interest in Trauma-Informed Care and Schema Therapy. Whilst offering a private service, I continue to be employed with the public Mental Health sector specialising in mental health and in the crisis assessment and treating team within the district.
