Dr Vicky is back!

We are very fortunate to have Vicky coming back next Thursday and Friday (14th and 15th of May). She met some of you two weeks ago and did a fantastic job looking after our practice members while Dr Aleta was away.

Read about her below πŸ‘‡

Hi I’m Vicky!

I’m a chiropractor that’s currently trying to do a lap around Australia in our 2003 Pajero.

I was born in England and moved to NZ when I was young. I studied at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Two and a half years ago my partner and I moved over to Australia and have lived in Sydney, Hervey Bay and Adelaide.

My approach to chiropractic is tailored to each person and what you need. I’ve cared for expecting mums, babies, teens, hard working fellas and those young at heart.

Look forward to meeting you all,

Victoria Markham,
Chiropractor

We welcome our little visitors to have fun creating a bunny to add to our Easter garden. And a reminder that the school holidays is a great time for a check up, so that you too can have a spring in your step. πŸ‡πŸ‡πŸ‡

πŸŒπŸ“ˆ World Statistics Day πŸ“ˆ 🌐
Do you know the impact of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in Australia?
β€’ WMSDs #1 work, health and safety issue impacting workers - Safe Work Australia
β€’ $55.1B – Annual cost of MSDs to the Australian economy including direct health costs, lost productivity, absenteeism and reduced quality of life (Deloitte Industries)
β€’ 7.3 million (29%) - Australians suffer from chronic MSDs (ABS National Health Survey June 2024)
β€’ 57% - The majority of Australian workers’ compensation claims are for WMSDs (Safe Work Australia) with SafeWork NSW reporting serious WMSD claims requiring one or more weeks absence, averaged almost $65k per claim between 2018-2023.
β€’ Top 4 WMSDs: Low back pain, neck pain, mid-back pain and cervicogenic headaches
β€’ 82% of WMSD patients reported relief through chiropractic healthcare ( for the Chiropractors Association 2023)

Today is the start of National WorkSpace Week, an initiativeby the Chiropractors Association which aims to create safe and healthy workspaces for everybody and to lessen the long-term impact on workers, employers, and the economy by improving the spinal health and wellbeing of all workers vulnerable to WMSDs.

Adjust your thinking this WorkSpace Week (20-26 Oct) - visit www.workspaceweek.org.au to register your organisation so your team can Work Well Every Day because prevention is the protection!
