💛 WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY | 10 SEPTEMBER 💛

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

This year, we’re focusing on theme of Changing the Narrative on Su***de — challenging stigma, encouraging open and honest conversations, and creating communities where people feel safe to speak up and ask for help.

Changing the narrative starts with all of us.

It can be as simple as checking in with someone. Listening without judgement. Making space for a conversation. Reminding people that support is available. And talking about su***de prevention in a way that builds hope, connection and understanding.

At Condobolin Aboriginal Health Service, we know that strong social and emotional wellbeing comes from connection — to family, community, culture and each other. 🖤💛❤️

This Monday, we’re bringing our community together for Mental Health Matters – Every Step Matters at Gum Bend Lake.

📅 Monday 14 September
⏰ 11am–3pm
📍 Gum Bend Lake

Walk or run anywhere from 10 metres to 9km. There’s no pressure and no competition — every step is an opportunity to start a conversation, share a story, support one another and raise awareness.

🌭 Community BBQ
💧 Hydration stations
🎨 Activities
🎟️ Prizes and raffles
👟 Walk or run at your own pace

On World Su***de Prevention Day, our message is simple:

Every conversation matters. Every connection matters. Every step matters.

If you’re worried about someone, reach out. Ask the question. Listen. Stay connected. You never know how much that conversation might mean. 💛

💜 WOMEN’S HEALTH WEEK AT CAHS 💜

Today, we celebrated Women’s Health Week with a wonderful community event at the Old Fire Station.

Women completed a health questionnaire, enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch and received a Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week giveaway bag filled with helpful health information and goodies.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was a great opportunity to connect, share a meal and remind the women in our community that taking care of their own health and wellbeing matters. 🫶🏽
