In the Yoga Sutras, there’s a beautiful phrase ~ dridha bhumi.
It means firm ground. A place to stand.
And Patanjali tells us how we find it.
Not in one big moment, and not by being born with it.
We build it through practice that’s steady, patient, and done with love.
Day after day, after day after day.
Most of us weren’t born enlightened.
So, we build our firm ground the way we build anything worth having, a little at a time.
A breath here. A kind word to ourselves there.
Showing up, facing the hard parts of ourselves, even on the days we don’t feel like it.
And once that ground is there, it’s yours.
Nobody gave it to you, and nobody can take it away. Understand that you can lean into it and come back and stand on it anytime you need to xx
