🌸 Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day! 🌸

Today at Giggles we celebrated the incredible educators who give so much of themselves to the children in their care. ❤️

We had so much fun celebrating our amazing educators today by stepping back in time and dressing up in our 60s, 70s and 80s themes! From the outfits and the delicious snacks to the big smiles, it was such a wonderful way to celebrate the incredible team we have.

A special thank you to Jakki and Inoka for the beautiful morning tea that was set up for our educators to enjoy. 🧁☕ It was such a thoughtful way to show appreciation and give everyone a chance to come together, relax and celebrate each other.

To our wonderful educators- Thank you for showing up every day with love, kindness, patience and dedication. Thank you for creating a place where the children feel safe, supported, valued and free to be themselves.

We are so incredibly grateful for everything you do, today and every day. 💐✨

SBD Soccer ⚽

We were thrilled to welcome SDB WA Academy to our service for a free soccer trial, and the majority of our friends had an absolute blast! Throughout the session, the children built their coordination, balance, confidence, independence, teamwork, football skills, and healthy habits while having so much fun. Each session is packed with exciting games and engaging activities that keep children active, smiling, and eager to learn.

Teddy Bears Picnic 🧸🧺

The children arrived in their cozy pyjamas with their favourite teddy bears, ready for a day full of fun, laughter and special memories. Together, we enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch with yummy sausage rolls, along with a variety of snacks which promoted healthy eating and encouraging the children to explore different foods together. It was wonderful to see everyone relaxing with their teddy bears, having conversations with friends, and enjoying a cozy picnic filled with smiles, imaginative play, and a strong sense of belonging.

NAIDOC WEEK 🖤💛❤️

Last week, we proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week across all of our rooms through a range of meaningful, age-appropriate experiences. Our educators thoughtfully planned activities that encouraged the children to learn about, appreciate, and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

From creative art experiences and storytelling to sensory play and nature-based learning, each room explored this year's celebrations in ways that inspire curiosity, respect, and a sense of belonging. We are honoured to recognise the world's oldest continuing cultures and to help foster understanding and respect within our learning community.

Worm Mud Sensory Play 🪱

Our babies thoroughly enjoyed exploring this activity. They actively engaged in transferring the muddy mixture, naturally explored the sensory-safe resources through mouthing, and embraced plenty of messy hands along the way! This fun experience supported their sensory development, curiosity, and fine motor skills through hands-on play.

BLUE DAY 💙

Today, our service proudly participated in 'Blue Day' to raise awareness and show support for men's health. It was wonderful to see many children, and educators dressed in full blue or wearing a touch of blue throughout the day, creating a strong sense of community across the service.

To extend the day's theme into our learning experiences, the toddler group participated in a blue-themed art and sensory activity using spray bottles and blue tissue paper. The children sprayed water onto the tissue paper, eagerly watching the colour drip and spread across the page. This hands-on activity encouraged exploration of cause and effect, as the toddlers noticed that the more water they sprayed, the faster the colour moved.

💙 WEAR BLUE DAY 💙

Tomorrow, our centre will be recognising Wear Blue Day to raise awareness for men's health. We invite all children, families, and educators to wear something blue as we come together to show our support for the important conversations surrounding men's physical and mental wellbeing.

By wearing blue, we can help raise awareness, encourage open discussions, and remind the men in our lives that their health matters.

We look forward to seeing our centre filled with blue as we support this meaningful cause together!💙

Little Hands, Big Scoops 🍦

The babies enjoyed a fun and sensory-rich ice cream scoop activity using a soft mixture of cornflour and icing. With cones, scoops, and colourful sprinkles provided, the children explored scooping, pouring and decorating their own pretend ice creams. This hands-on experience encouraged sensory exploration, fine motor development, and imaginative play while allowing the babies to engage with different textures, colours and materials in a safe and enjoyable way!

Yesterday marked Candice's final day as our Business Manager, and it was an incredibly emotional day for us all. Her dedication, kindness and unwavering support have left a lasting impact on our team, and it's hard to imagine Giggles without her. Hearing Jakki's beautiful speech had us all holding back tears as we reflected on the many memories, laughs, and achievements we've all shared together.

Candice has been such an important part of our Giggles family, and while we are so grateful for everything she has done, we will miss her dearly. We wish her nothing but happiness and success in her next chapter. 🥺❤️

Birthday Celebration 🎉

T had an amazing second birthday celebration organised by our educator Shaugnagh, filled with excitement, laughter and special surprises. T's family helped make today extra memorable by bringing in a motorbike from home, which perfectly matched his current interest and quickly became the highlight of this day.

The children were so excited to have the opportunity to sit on the bike and try on the riding equipment and gear brought from home, creating a fun and engaging hands-on experience for everyone. The children loved exploring the motorbike, asking questions, and sharing in T's excitement throughout the celebration. It was wonderful to see his interests being celebrated alongside his friends and educators on such a special day!

We wish T a very happy 2nd birthday for tomorrow and hope he has the most wonderful day celebrating! 🎂
