CTG Aboriginal Health

This year’s theme is “Normalizing Voluntary Blood Donation.”

Every donation has the power to save lives, support families, and strengthen our communities. By making blood donation a regular act of care, we can create healthier futures for everyone. Giving blood is safe, simple, and one of the most powerful ways to help someone in need. Let’s work together to make voluntary blood donation a normal part of community wellbeing.

✨ Donate voluntarily. Donate regularly.
✨ Together, we can save more lives.

The first years of life shape a child’s emotional wellbeing, relationships, and future health. Every cuddle, conversation, and caring connection helps build strong foundations for life. 👶🏽✨
This week, we’re raising awareness about the importance of nurturing babies’ mental health and supporting families in our communities. Strong minds start early Safe, loving relationships matter, supporting parents support babies.
Together, we can help every child feel safe, connected, and loved. 💚

CTG Aboriginal Health

This week, our Regional CQI Manager Carly Fernando, Acting DAMS Practice Manager Jasmin Fernando and Executive Officer Cherie Forgione attended the NACCHO Digital Health: Enabling Connected Care Workshop in Brisbane.

The workshop brought together Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and key stakeholders to explore opportunities to strengthen digital health systems and improve connected care across the sector.

Highlights included engaging discussions with CSIRO-Sparked on data standards and interoperability, providing an opportunity for participants to help shape how information is shared across systems. Attendees also received updates from Services Australia and had the opportunity to ask questions about current and future digital health initiatives. The Australian Digital Health Agency shared information and sought valuable sector input on the Health Connect Australia Provider Directory and Provider Connect Australia.

Participation in workshops such as these ensures our organisation remains informed, connected, and actively involved in shaping digital health solutions that support better health outcomes for our communities.
