⚠️ ON MOUNJARO AND TAKING THE PILL? WATCH THIS.

“If you’re taking Mounjaro and you also take an oral contraceptive pill, there’s something really important you need to know.

Mounjaro can delay how quickly your stomach empties, and when you first start Mounjaro or increase your dose, it may reduce how reliably your oral contraceptive is absorbed.

Current Australian advice is to use condoms as well, or change to a non-oral form of contraception, for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro AND for 4 weeks after every dose increase.

🦠 COVID VACCINE UPDATE — DON’T WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER

If you’re due for a COVID vaccination, now is a good time to get it sorted.

From 1 October 2026, the way COVID vaccines are funded in Australia is changing — and free COVID vaccination will no longer be universally available under the current program.

From October, funded vaccines will focus on:
• 75+ years – every 6 months
• 65–74 years – every 12 months
• Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people 50–74 years – every 12 months
• 18+ with severe immunocompromise – every 12 months

For some people outside these groups, COVID vaccination may need to be purchased privately after 1 October.

✅ Until 30 September, the current arrangements remain in place.
✅ Until 30 September over 18s can access a vaccine every 12 months or every 6 monthly if immunocompromised,ATSI or over 65.

So if you’re due, or you’re not sure when you had your last COVID vaccine, come and chat to our pharmacists at Coorparoo Discount Pharmacy.

We can check your vaccination history and let you know whether a dose is appropriate.

Don’t leave it until October.
