🧼 Even the soap cutter needs a little TLC sometimes!

Here's a little look at something you don't normally get to see in our soap room.

Our soap cutters actually use guitar strings to slice through the bars! 🎸 And when a string breaks, it's time for a little maintenance before the soap cutting can continue.

Just another little job in the soap room! And a little view into the process behind the scenes.

Who knew guitar strings could be so handy for making soap? 😂

🧼 Soap cutting day at Moon Haven!

It's one of our favourite parts of making soap, when those big blocks finally become the individual bars our Moonies know and love.

But even after Laura has finished cutting, there's still a bit of patience required!

Our soaps are made using the traditional cold-process method, and once cut, they're left to cure for several weeks before they're ready for your shower.

🐾 Can you still use essential oils at home if you have pets?

It's a question we get asked quite often at Moon Haven, and it's a good one!

Our pets share our homes, but their sense of smell and sensitivity to certain substances can be very different from ours.

Some essential oils can be toxic to animals, so it's important to do your research before choosing which oils to use around your pets.

It's also worth remembering that an oil suitable for use around dogs may not be suitable around cats or other animals.
