🤠🌵 Wild Wild Western Happy Hour at Weeroona! 🌵🤠

On Friday 24th July, our residents saddled up for a wonderful Wild Wild Western Happy Hour, enjoying a lively mix of country and western music, trivia and plenty of laughs.

Lifestyle Coordinator Nikkara also presented an entertaining and educational look at cowboys and cowgirls from around the world, exploring their history, traditions and the different names they are known by across various countries.

With the room transformed into our very own Wild West saloon, it was a fantastic afternoon of music, conversation, learning and good old-fashioned fun! 🎶🐎⭐

What a wonderful month it's been! Our residents have enjoyed community outings to the Club Cowra Cabaret Show and Canowindra Services Club, celebrated NAIDOC Week with meaningful activities, and kept busy with bingo, puzzles, flower arranging, crafts, birthday celebrations and daily wellbeing activities.
It's been a month full of laughter, friendship and creating special memories together.

On the 16th, residents from Weeroona Aged Care enjoyed a bus trip to the Young Services Club, accompanied by RAO staff Shandelle and Darren.
The outing provided residents with the opportunity to connect with the local community, enjoy a delicious meal, and spend quality time with friends. Community outings such as these support social engagement, promote independence, and enhance residents' overall well-being by creating meaningful experiences and lasting memories.
A sincere thank you to the Young Services Club for their wonderful hospitality, friendly service, and great food, and to Cowra Bus Service for their ongoing support in providing transport to these valuable community outings.

👑 King’s Birthday Happy Hour 👑
Residents enjoyed a lovely King’s Birthday Happy Hour filled with music, laughter and royal-themed fun.
We listened to a VE sing-along and joined in with trivia hosted by the Lifestyle Team, including Royal True or False, Royal Guess Who and Royal Would You Rather. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, sharing a laugh and enjoying the afternoon together.
A big thank you to our cook, Sonya and the kitchen crew for preparing such a lovely spread for everyone to enjoy, and to the Lifestyle Team for hosting another special Happy Hour for our residents.
A beautiful afternoon celebrating good company, good food and a touch of royal fun. ✨

Residents enjoyed a lovely social outing to Grenfell on Tuesday the 19th, heading out for lunch at the Criterion Hotel with Lifestyle staff Darren and Nikki. 🍽️🚌
There were plenty of smiles, great conversations, and delicious meals shared as residents spent the afternoon enjoying the warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. Outings like these are a wonderful way for residents to stay connected with the community while enjoying a change of scenery and good company.
A big thank you to the team at the Criterion Hotel Grenfell for your hospitality and to Cowra Bus Services for safely transporting everyone to and from the outing. We truly appreciate your continued support of our residents and lifestyle program. 💛

What a wonderful weekend of fun, creativity, and friendly competition at Weeroona! 🎯🎱📸
Our residents enjoyed a fantastic variety of activities across the weekend, proving that life at Weeroona stays active every day of the year.
Residents had a great time testing their aim during a lively game of Floor Darts with Nikkara, getting creative with Polaroid Picture Bookmark Craft alongside Kayla, and enjoying some friendly rivalry with Table Top Pool hosted by Kylie.
At Weeroona, activities aren’t just Monday to Friday — we are committed to ensuring meaningful engagement, connection, and enjoyment are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year for our residents. ❤️

On Tuesday 12th May, some of our lovely ladies from Weeroona Aged Care enjoyed a Women’s Morning Tea outing to the Cowra Japanese Garden Café.
It was a beautiful morning spent sharing conversation, enjoying delicious treats and taking in the peaceful surroundings of one of Cowra’s most loved locations.
Our residents had a wonderful time getting out and about in the community, and we are already looking forward to our next ladies’ outing.
A big thank you to our Lifestyle team for supporting the outing and helping make the morning so enjoyable. 🌸
