Something special is taking shape in Ngunnawal. 💜

Construction is well underway on Arcare Gold Creek, our 3rd residence in the ACT. Rising in the historic Gold Creek Homestead Precinct, this 3-storey residence opens in 2027 with 124 suites.

Residents will enjoy private suites with ensuites, chef prepared meals daily and clinical care around the clock, plus a café, family lounges, outdoor spaces, a wellness gym, theatre and activity rooms.

Ron is 87 and has built 13 vintage cars by hand.

He started in a panel shop in his early twenties, went on to co-found a firm restoring vintage vehicles, and has been a member of the MODEL A FORD Club of Victoria (inc) club for 40 years. Club runs took him to Perth, Sydney and Queensland. Two of the cars he built are now owned by his sons.

Ron has never had much interest in group activities, which left the Lifestyle team at Arcare Croydon with a question worth asking: what would actually mean something to him? The answer was a post to the local community asking whether anyone would bring a vintage or classic car to the residence. It drew more than 500 likes and 38 offers. When they rolled up to the car show event, Ron spent the day talking about the work of his life with people who understood it.

Arcare Croydon organised it, but the community made it happen.

Our Day in the Life series shines a light on the residents and team members who make Arcare feel like home. Meet Rosela, part of our dedicated cleaning team at Arcare Hillside 💜

Rosela's day starts with preparing her trolley, then it's on to cleaning and disinfecting resident suites, bathrooms and common areas, managing waste to strict safety protocols, restocking supplies, and a final walk-through to make sure everything is just right.

It's skilled work guided by infection control procedures at every step. And in between? Chats with residents who love her visits, and even a song and dance with the team.

Rosela is one of many cleaners across Arcare whose care, skill and attention to detail keep every space safe, hygienic and welcoming. To Rosela and all our teams, thank you for everything you do 💜

Engines, memories and community came together at Arcare Croydon's Vintage Car Show, which even made the news! 🚗

Resident Ron's treasured vintage car collection took centre stage, joined by classic and vintage vehicles from local enthusiasts. Residents, families and community members spent the day admiring the cars, sharing stories and celebrating a passion that spans generations.

For Ron, cars have been a lifelong love, and days like this show what our Lifestyle program is all about. Activities vary across every Arcare Aged Care residence, but they always centre on connection and supporting residents to keep doing what they love most.

Thank you to everyone who brought their incredible cars along and made the day so memorable. 💜

We're officially open. 💜

Welcome to Arcare Hove, our 61st residence and our first in South Australia.

To celebrate the occasion, our leadership team joined our very first resident, his family and the Arcare Hove team for Arcare's traditional ribbon cutting ceremony.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is a special Arcare Aged Care tradition that marks the beginning of every new residence, and we were delighted to celebrate it for the very first time in South Australia.

A warm welcome to Jane and the entire Arcare Hove team as they begin this exciting new chapter. We look forward to welcoming more residents, families and the local community to Arcare Hove.

We're back with another resident vlog, follow along with Judie as she takes us through her day at Arcare Balnarring.

Physio in the onsite gym and wellness room, a visit from a local childcare centre, native florals arranged in the activity room now displayed in her private suite, and trivia with refreshments to close the afternoon.
